October 22nd Smackdown

*Roman Reigns (& Paul Heyman) to the ring…Roman takes Heyman to task about tossing the belt into the ring too close to Brock yesterday during the title match…he has Heyman read Brock’s tweet about coming to SmackDown & beating Roman senseless…Roman says he would welcome Brock to the ring…in fact he’s not leaving until Brock shows up.

*Back from commercial…still no Brock…Roman bores of waiting & starts to head out of the ring…NATURALLY, this is when Brock Lesnar’s music hits & the Beast heads to the ring…Brock attacks immediately & beats Roman in & outside of the ring, dispatches the Usos when they show up & try to save their cousin…Brock continues his path of destruction by demolishing a TV camera, tossing refs & WWE officials around as Roman & Heyman escape up the ramp.

*Back from another commercial…Adam Pearce is in the ring to pass on the unfortunate news that Brock’s actions can not be tolerated & therefore will result in an indefinite suspension…Brock Lesnar makes his way back to the ring to hear the news close up & in person…Pearce reiterates the suspension decree & takes a pair of F-5s for his troubles.

*Back from our 3^rd commercial break, Naomi approaches Sonya backstage…Naomi wants a fair rematch after the swerve Sonya pulled last week…Sonya is clearly too busy amidst the chaos of the night & tells Naomi to get out of her face…Drew McIntyre approaches & introduces himself to Sonya…Drew is headed to the ring to issue an open challenge & doesn’t care if she likes it or not.

*Drew McIntyre to the ring…enough of the BS, who’s ready for a match?…Sami Zayn & his newly tweaked entrance music answer the open challenge…Sami informs Drew that he is the elder statesman of SmackDown & he’s willing to show the newbie, McIntyre, how things are done around here.

(1)  Drew McIntyre defeats Sami Zayn…Claymore for the win (06:53).

*Kofi Kingston introduces King Xavier Woods & helps him into his royal cloak & crown, hands him his scepter…Woods thanks the fans & has Kofi read “the King’s Gospel,” which helps the fans find their new chant: “Hail King Woods!”…in the familiar New Day Rocks cadence.

*Becky Lynch backstage…says that instead of just handing over the belt at the title exchange with Charlotte tonight, maybe she should bring back her old character “Becky 2-Belts!”

*Xia Li coming soon to SmackDown!

(2)  Mansoor defeats Mustafa Ali…Ali attempts a sunset flip but Mansoor catches his legs & sits down into a roll up pin for the win (02:36).

*Backstage we get a quick introduction to new SmackDown Superstars Ridge Holland, Aliyah, Angel Garza & Humerto Carillo, and Sheamus.

*Hit Row out in front of the ‘tron to spit some hot rhymes…yay…now you know.

(3)  Hit Row defeat Dustin Lawyer & Daniel Williams…Top Dolla holds Lawyer in a side slam position for Swerve to hit the House Call kick for the win (01:20).

*Sonya is approached by Kayla as she comes out of medical after checking on Pearce…he’ll be OK eventually…but the show must go on, so Sonya has to get back to work.

(4)  Happy Corbin defeats Shinsuke Nakamura…NON-TITLE…Madcap Moss silences Rick Boogs from playing Nakamura’s theme to help spur on a comeback…Nakamura rolls out to deal with Moss…Corbin follow, slams Nakamura into the ring steps & rolls him back in…Deep Six for the win (06:21).

*Charlotte backstage…says that of course Becky will hand over the title tonight, she just needs to pretend it’s Charlotte’s suitcase that she spent half her career carrying.

*Becky Lynch to the ring…after a commercial break, Charlotte follows…Sonya oversees the title exchange…Charlotte begrudgingly hands the Raw title to Sonya…Becky tosses the SmackDown title at Charlotte…Charlotte proposes a “winner takes all” match tonight…Sasha Banks interrupts, tells Charlotte that the Blueprint runs the Blue Brand…Becky leaves to let these ladies sort things out…Charlotte asks if anyone even remembers when Sasha held the title…Sasha attacks Charlotte, hits a meteora from the apron to the floor before Sonya gets between them as the show ends.
