October 8th Smackdown

*Pearce & Sonya are in the ring for the contract signing…Bianca joins them…Becky Lynch has her own table set up on the entryway…Sasha is hanging out near the commentary desk…the ladies have words for one another, leading to physicality…Bianca knocks Sasha onto the table setup in the ring for the signing & hits the KOD on Becky, onto Sasha, through the table.

*Rey Mysterio backstage with Kayla…being King of the Ring would be the next best thing to being Universal Champion…Sami Zayn being king would make him sick.

*King Nakamura abdicated his crown earlier today out of respect for the tournament.

(1)  KingOfThe Ring: Sami Zayn defeats Rey Mysterio…Sami removes a turnbuckle pad…Dom Mysterio tries to replace it…Rey yells at Dom to get off the apron…Sami attacks the distracted Rey from behind & rolls him up for the win (09:26).

*Seth Rollins backstage with Kayla…he feels he’s done nothing wrong…still doesn’t have an answer to his challenge.

(2)  Queen’s Crown: Zelina Vega defeats Toni Störm…Toni sets Zelina up for a Gory Bomb, Zelina counters into a Code Red for the win (02:15).

*Roman Reigns (& the Bloodline) to the ring…demands San Jose acknowledge him…he congratulates the Wise Man for securing the Usos‘ spot on the SmackDown roster & demands that San Jose acknowledge him as well…Roman then gives Heyman one more chance to come clean about his relationship with Brock Lesnar…Heyman looks into the camera & tells Brock that he has met his match in Roman Reigns…not just a prediction, that’s a spoiler…believe that!

*Seth in Pearce/Sonya’s office to ask if Edge will be here tonight…Seth is heading to the ring later to hold the show hostage & wait for Edge’s answer.

(3)  QC: Carmella defeats Liv Morgan…Carmella gets her mask professionally placed again at ringside…Liv yanks on the mask to escape the Code of Silence…Liv misses the obLIVion…Carmella hits a Super Kick for the win (01:36).

*Mace backstage with Kayla…makes his in-ring SmackDown debut in 2 weeks…he’s not here to compete but to annihilate.

*Happy Talk with Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss…Kevin Owens interrupts…takes out Moss, starts beating on Corbin…but Moss recovers & the numbers eventually leads to Owens being laid out with a neck breaker by Moss.

*Naomi barges into Pearce/Sonya’s office…why wasn’t she part of the Queen’s Crown tournament?…Sonya says it’s because she’s not worthy…but she does have a match next week…against Sonya!

(4)  KotR: Finn Balor defeats Cesaro…Coup de Grâce for the win (09:47).

*Becky in Pearce/Sonya’s office…still pissed about earlier…but she signs the contract before storming out.

*Seth Rollins to the ring…calls out Edge…when he doesn’t appear, Seth says Edge is letting down his family…Edge appears on the ‘tron, just pulled into the building…Edge to the ring…Seth grabs a chair but Edge hits the Spear & proceeds to beat Seth around ringside…Edge stomps the crossbar off a chair & goes for the crossface but Seth escapes by elbowing Edge in the neck & bails…Edge grabs a mic, “YOU…ME…HELL IN A CELL!”
