PWA Wristlocks and Piledrivers
- Updated: October 9, 2020
PWA Wristlocks and Piledrivers
“PWA Wristlocks and Piledrivers” comes from Contributor “Alcoholic” Adam Pokrajac. Pokrajac routinely provides the cold hard truth on Australian Wrestling with a heavy focus on New South Wales. He believes this is the most under appreciated wrestling scene in the world today and he reviews it with a beer in his hand.
PWA Wristlocks and Piledrivers
Your favorite Alcoholic Adam breaks down PWA’s Wristlocks And Piledrivers event that takes place on October 9th at 6AM Eastern Time (8PM Local Time in Australia). To watch the event head over to OVO play where you can catch the action live.
Matches and Predictions
Kyle Fletcher v. Sam Osborne
This is the definition of a hot start. Kyle Fletcher returns home to PWA to face the “Prize Bull” Sam Osborne.
Fletcher has been tearing it up as one half of Aussie Open and some might even say representing the old guard at PWA against Osborne. Osborne is definitely generation now with a huge amount of momentum being undefeated under the mentorship of Don Marnell Osborne. He looks pretty unstoppable.
Add to the fact Marnell has seen Kyle Fletcher firsthand commentating his matches at OTT, he could easily give Osborne advice on how to defeat Kyle Fletcher.
Adam’s prediction: Osborne grinds Fletcher in submission and continuing his streak.
Big Fudge & “Tuff Stuff” Ricky South v. Bel Pierce & ?
Big Fudge looks to continue his winning streak and go to a mighty impressive 3-0 this year. Ricky also wants to keep his momentum going until he eventually faces the Current PWA Heavyweight Champion Caveman Ugg.
Bel has had a real shit go as late getting told by most of the roster to “F*** off” and finally breaking down with a small vignette closing the last show. The question needs to be asked who was it comforting Bel and what comes next for Bel after another loss.
As for Bel’s mystery partner, Alcoholic Adam is grasping at straws but someone who knows to tap into that dark side and use that energy to turn into wins is Charli Evans.
Adam’s Predication: There are just too many questions going into the match for Bel. Big Fudge and Ricky South wins.
Matty Wahlberg, Jude “The Dude” London & Paris De Silva’s promo.
Wahlberg asked a very important question. When it is going be The Velocities time to step up and take instead of waiting?
MK Plus Ultra stole Velocities tag team championship belts.
Wahlberg also planted elements of doubt about Mat Diamond’s loyalty to The Velocities as he is always going off to do his own thing with HVWA.
Could we see Mat Diamond get kicked out of the Velocities?
Adam’s prediction: The Velocities will start being pro-active and take their belts back and will show a more aggressive approach and eventually kick Mat Diamond out of the Velocities.
Steph De Lander v Kai Drake
Both wrestlers fresh off picking up wins at the Prefects’ expense.
Adam’s prediction: The Velocities cause a distraction leaving an opening for De Lander to take advantage of pinning Drake.
Team HVWA (Robbie Eagles, Mat Diamond & CJ Phoenix) v The Nations (Jessica Troy (C), Mick Moretti & Jack J Bonza)
For the main event of the evening, two massive trios who have honed their craft for many years with most of the wrestlers in this match wrestling for over 10 years.
This match is a flip of a coin with team HVWA full of high-flying high octane. The nations have a more sinister win at all costs approach and they aren’t afraid to take a limb to secure the win.
Adam’s prediction: The Nations pick up the win due to the ring rust of CJ Phoenix and because the Nations have a slight edge in teaming up as trios. Side Note: Post-match, the roster members of Generation now rush the ring taking down the Old guard.
