September 17th Smackdown

*Roman & the Bloodline to ring…Roman demands Knoxville acknowledge him, turns the mic over to the “wise man”…Heyman says Roman fears no man, beast, or Demon…Big E. interrupts, makes his way to the ring…before Big E. can speak, Finn Balor interrupts as we go to commercial…back from commercial & with no explanation, we’ve got a tag team match, playa!

(1)  Finn Balor/Big E. defeat The Usos…Finn hits the Coup de Grace on Jey, Big E. hits the Big Ending on Jimmy, Big E covers Jimmy for the win (11:20).

*Roman & Heyman in the locker room…Roman asks again if Heyman knew Brock would be at SummerSlam…Heyman assures him he did not & that’s how Heyman knows Brock is scared, because he has created this false narrative…Roman asks if Brock will be at Extreme Rules, Heyman is under the impression Brock wouldn’t dare show up…Roman reminds Heyman that he pays him to know…in advance.

(2)  Rick Boogs defeats Robert Roode…Boogs Cruise (Pumphandle Powerslam) for the win (02:01)…AFTER…Boogs & Nakamura celebrate with McAfee at the announce desk…Commander Azeez & Apollo attack…Apollo on the mic, demands a rematch with Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship.

(3)  Kevin Owens vs. Happy Corbin – never gets started…Corbin attacks KO during his entrance, runs him into the ring skirt LED board, chokeslams him on the edge of the apron, & walks off smiling.

*Heyman is scared again backstage by Kayla…she asks about Brock Lesnar…Heyman go off on her, tells her to stop flirting & walks away…Heyman is startled by Big E. a few feet later…congratulates him for his WWE Championship victory & for being smart enough to know he would have never cashed in successfully on Roman…the Usos attack Big E. & leave him laying.

*Seth Rollins to the ring…had one of the best matches of his career last week…what happened to Edge was unfortunate, but what did you think was going to happen?!…Seth used a legal move in a sanctioned match, so if you’re looking for someone to blame, blame Edge & blame the Universe…but Seth’s not done with Edge until he “finishes” him.

*Becky Lynch backstage with Kayla…she’s never been to a homecoming so she might have to check out Bianca’s later tonight.

(4)  Toni Störm/Liv Morgan defeat Zelina/Carmella by COUNT OUT…Liv sends Carmella face-first into the turnbuckle pad…Carmella rolls out & screams about her nose until the ref calls for the bell (02:09)…AFTER…Liv isn’t sorry…in fact she challenges Carmella to a match at Extreme Rules so she can make her look as ugly outside as she does inside.

*Street Profits backstage…they’re excited to be in Knoxville for Bianca…but they want that tag team gold…they also want the smoke.

*Carmella in the trainer’s room, finally moves her hands from her face & Zelina assures her she’s still beautiful…Carmella accepts Liv’s challenge for Extreme Rules…Zelina says Liv will have to go through her first.

*Finn Balor promo…the Demon is a manifestation of everyone who has ever told him no, doubted him, or disrespected him…a rage that cannot be controlled…Roman will see the face of the Demon, the Universal Champion.

*Raw this Monday will feature a 6-man tag between the New Day & the Bloodline!

*Naomi finds Soya backstage, demands she get off her phone…Sonya says there’s not much time in the show tonight, come back next week…Naomi assures Sonya she will not quit, she will get her match.

(5)  Sami Zayn defeats Dom Mysterio…Rey joins commentary…Dom goes for the frog splash but Sami gets the knees up & rolls Dom up for the win (06:07).

*Mayor Kane introduces the hometown girl, Bianca Belair…presents her with “the key to the county”…Bianca leads a “Rocky Top” sing-a-long…Becky Lynch interrupts, offers a handshake…Bianca shakes but won’t let go, scoops Becky up for a KOD…Becky wiggles out & hits a uranage on Bianca & bails as the show ends.
