September 28th NXT

*Hit Row to the ring…they welcome everyone to “Ladies Night”…they keep talking & rhyming until Legado’s music thankfully cuts them off.

(1)  Elektra Lopez defeats B-Fab…in a NO DQ Match…match spills outside & quickly Legado & Hit Row begin brawling as we go to commercial…all the associates are sent backstage during the break…Elektra drops B-Fab throat first on the back of a steel chair…Blue Thunder Bomb for the win (10:38).

*InDex honeymoon…beautiful beach getaway…Johnny & Candice still watching their every move…Johnny pulls the Jaws gimmick to scare Indi out of the water.

*Joe Gacy seated in the ring…still working the Millennial Snowflake gimmick on the mic.

(2)  Xyon Quinn defeats Oney Lorcan…running forearm smash to the face for the win (03:00).

*Grayson Waller hype package…he’s a thrill junkie…he takes chances…last week that chance turned into a Cruiserweight Championship match…after which, everyone will know his name.

*MSK in the ring…they’ll continue to be fighting champions…GYV interrupt, they want another shot…Carmelo Hayes & Trick interrupt, just might use that contract to become tag champs…Briggs & Jensen interrupt…brawl erupts, MSK holds the ring.

*Raquel backstage with McKenzie…Franky is good but she will be another name crossed off the list of people standing in Raquel’s way…Toxic Attraction walk by…Mandy pauses to look Raquel & the title up & down, “Looks good on you…but it’ll look a lot better on me.”

(3)  Io Shirai & Zoey Stark defeat Toxic Attraction…retain the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship…Zoey takes out Gigi Dolan on the floor…Io hits the Over the Moonsault on Jayce Jayne for the win (12:57).

*Bron Breakker promo…his goal is the NXT Championship…tells Ciampa that he’s not a patient guy.

*Tommaso Ciampa FaceTimes to the announce desk to respond to Bron Breakker…says he has no doubt that match will happen soon & when it does, Breakker will drown in an ocean of inexperience.

(4)  Boa defeats Andre Chase…Mei Ying blows smoke in Chase’s face…Boa hits a front falling, inverted DDT for the win (03:08).

*InDex honeymoon…Johnny gets the cleaning lady to let him in the honeymoon suite to make sure they have “protection”…has to hide in the closet when Indi & Dexter arrive…Johnny is disturbed by what he doesn’t realize is just a pillow fight between the newlyweds…Johnny gets caught by Dexter trying to sneak out…Dexter gives him a thumbs up.

(5)  Roderick Strong defeats Grayson Waller…retains the Cruiserweight Championship…Waller attacks Strong before the bell as we go to commercial…Waller controls most of the match but misses a leapfrog move (possibly a Fame-ass-er?)…Strong counters with a jumping knee to the jaw for the win (>06:22…match starts during break).

*LA Knight backstage with McKenzie…he’ll face Odyssey Jones next week…Jones interrupts, promises Knight he’s never faced anyone like him…Andre Chase distracts everyone with another temper tantrum…Knight uses the distraction to sucker punch Jones & beat him down.

*Dante Chen lives by the motto “passion, precision, perseverance”…his journey has just begun.

*Cora Jade (& Trey Baxter) backstage with McKenzie…Jade is only 20 years old…makes her in-ring debut next week.

*Lash Legend debuts “Lashing Out”…tells Cora Jade to get a real man & uses a picture of Ikemen Jiro to make her point…the ‘Lash Out of the Week’ goes to Andre Chase for his explosion in front of his students last week…Lash Legend has the cadence & penchant for over annunciation of Bianca Belair…so, hopefully this ‘talk show’ was a rousing success.

(6)  Kyle O’Reilly defeats Ridge Holland…O’Reilly jumps Holland during his smoky entrance as we go to commercial…match begins in the break (MOTHERF****R!!)…Kyle climbs for his diving knee finisher but Pete Dunne on the apron gets his attention & he comes down to confront him…Holland grabs Kyle from behind & gets him up but Kyle escapes out the back, runs Holland into Dunne, & rolls Holland up for the win (>05:24)…AFTER…Holland immediately goes back on the attack, Dunne joins…Von Wagner races down for the save & helps Kyle clear the ring.

*Tony D’Angelo still hanging out at the docks…his cousin Richie (because of course he’s got a cousin Richie) owns the place…blah, blah, blah, stereotypes…blah, blah, blah, he’ll be in the building next week.

(7)  Raquel Gonzalez defeats Franky Monet…retains the NXT Women’s Championship…Chingona Bomb for the win (06:58)…AFTER…Toxic Attraction make their way to ringside…they jump Franky, Jessi, & Stone from behind…then surround Raquel & attack…Gigi & Jayce hold Raquel on her knees for a running knee strike from Mandy…Mandy holds the title over the fallen champion.
