  • Raquel Gonzalez got involved in the match and Rhea Ripley came down and hit Raquel from behind.
  • When Dakota went for her running kick in the corner, Shotzi evaded and rolled Dakota up for the pinfall victory.

Interview with Scott and Escobar

  • Scott reminds us that he’s the only man to pin Escobar.
  • Escobar says Take Over will be fair and Scott questions him.
  • Santos Escobar says he’s just making excuses and that he’ll bury Scott at Take Over.

Video Package for Kyle O’Reilly

  • O’Reilly talks about how he’s wanted to face Balor for a long time. When O’Reilly got to Japan, Balor left for NXT. When O’Reilly got to NXT, Balor went to Raw. This match has been a long time coming.

Tegan Nox has a Torn ACL

Candice and Johnny

  • Tegan broke Johnny’s TV and Candice tore Nox’s ACL. They’re even.
  • They’ll be the first married couple to be champions in NXT.

Grimes Promo

  • His opportunity was taken away in a weird Gauntlet Eliminator match.
  • Grimes can cheer up. This is the Cameron Grimes Invitational to the Moon Match.
  • Cameron Grimes hit a Cave-In on Joey Pistachio and pinned him in 5 seconds.
  • Ridge Holland came out.

Cameron Grimes defeats Ridge Holland – 00:34

  • Holland just viciously beat up Cameron Grimes. He didn’t break at the referee’s demand, so the ref disqualified him.

Austin Theory Promo

  • He says Kyle O’Reilly is trying to catch up to Austin Theory.

Kushida Promo

  • Velveteen Dream will be his stepping stone.

Kushida defeats Tony Nese – 02:12

  • Tony Nese went for the Pump Handle slam, but Kushida wiggled out and grabbed Nese’s arm. He drove it into the canvas twice before dragging Nese back to the center of the ring where he stomped on him repeatedly. Kushida cinched in the hover board lock foot he submission victory.

Velveteen Dream Promo

  • The Dream comes on the video screen to tell Kushida that the spotlight will be too much for him.

Cameron Grimes Runs into Dexter Lumis Backstage

  • He calls him a freak and moves on.

Adam Cole Promo

  • He talks about their 3 year tenure in NXT and the prophecy.
  • Cole says that somewhere along the way, people seemed to think they could say whatever they want to the Undisputed Era. Adam continues to say that Austin Theory can try to say whatever he wants about Kyle O’Reilly to Adam’s face.
  • Theory comes out, but refuses to get in the ring.
  • Cole gives him a choice: Either get in the ring or we’ll take you out where you stand.

Adam Cole defeats Austin Theory – 13:03

  • Cole hit the last shot for the pinfall victory.

Priest and Shirai Promos

  • Tonight is a preview. The Rockstars of NXT will take care of some business.

Kayden Carter defeats Xia Li – 03:25

  • Carter rolled up Xia Li for  a surprise victory.

Face to Face Meeting Between Balor and O’Reilly

  • They shake hands.
  • Finn congratulates O’Reilly. They tell each other they have nothing but respect for each other.
  • Balor says he knows O’Reilly and what he’s done all over the world
  • Kyle says that Finn is fighting champion even when he knows that defeat is certain.
  • Balor asks about the Undisputed Era. O’Reilly says he’ll do it alone. No excuses

TakeOver Card

  • Balor v. O’Reilly – NXT Championship
  • Escobar v. Scott – Cruiserweight Championship
  • Kushida v. Velveteen Dream
  • Gargano v. Priest – North American Championship
  • LeRae v. Shirai – NXT Championship

Gargano and LeRae defeat Shirai and Priest – 10:16

  • Io Shirai hit her moonsault on Johnny Gargano, but Candice LeRae used a low blow on Damian Priest. Gargano would follow up with the final beat ddt for the pinfall victory.

Post Match

  • Candice hit a back cracker on Io Shirai.
