General News Stories

• After many weeks of pre-taped video packages, we finally learned that the Diamond Mine is a new faction consisting of Roderick Strong, Rust Taylor, Hideki Suzuki, and Malcom Bivens. The new group attacked Kushida after the main event of the 6/22 episode of NXT.
• The return of Becky Lynch appears to be imminent. According to both Fightful and PW Insider, Lynch has been spotted training at the Performance Center. She was also backstage at Smackdown and Hell in a Cell.
• Fans attempting to watch Hell in a Cell on Peacock may have experienced issues during the first 15 minutes of the pre show. Apparently Roku users saw an image of Shrek instead of the Hell in a Cell Pre Show.
• Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed worked Dark matches on Smackdown, and they worked matches for WWE’s main event show (which is taped prior to Raw).
• The first four women qualified for the July 18th WWE’s Money in the Bank match. From the Raw brand, Nikki Cross, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Asuka will compete.
• The first three men qualified for the men’s Money in the Bank match. John Morrison, Ricochet, and Riddle all qualified. Their opponents (Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles) face off in a triple threat match on the 6/28 episode of Raw to determine the final Money in the Bank entrant from Raw.
• In an interview with Metro, Rey Mysterio says he has no interest in wrestling Dominik. I hope Vince doesn’t hear that.
• Peacock hit Amazon Fire TV on 6/24. I think Al was talking about having to jump through hoops.
• PW Insider reported that WWE announced their return to Madison Square Garden on September 10th.
• WWE announced a four city international tour in the UK:
  • Newcastle – Utilita Arena (Sunday, September 19, 2021)
  • London – The O2 (Monday, September 20, 2021),
  • Cardiff – Motorpoint Arena (Tuesday, September 21, 2021)
  • Glasgow – The SSE Hydro (Wednesday, September 22, 2021)
