30 Day Wrestling Shirt Challenge

30 Day Wrestling Shirt Challenge

30 Day Wrestling Shirt Challenge

Minutes to Bell Time is running a 30 day Wrestling Shirt Challenge for the month of May. Creative people set up 30 day challenges to keep themselves occupied during the month of April. But a lot of people are still working from home or not working at all. We still need moments of levity and ways to have fun. That’s the point of this challenge. This is not meant to be a contest, so no prizes and very flexible “rules.” All we want to do is help the pro wrestling community get through a weird time and celebrate our fandom . . . plus give us a reason to wear all those wrestling shirts.

Each day has a unique theme, which you can see in the Graphic Above. The “rules” are listed in the graphic below, but the only real rule you need to abide by is to have fun and don’t ruin anyone else’s fun. Be creative with the themes and switch days around if you need to. The point here is to just have fun.

Follow the Minutes to Bell Time Instagram to watch along. We’re also reposting people’s pictures in our Instagram stories. Have fun! For additional inspiration, check out the Pro Wrestling Quotes section of Minutes to Bell Time where each day a new quote is added from someone connected to Pro Wrestling.

Wrestling Shirt Challenge - Rules

Day 1: Current Champion – Braun Strowman

??Day #1 – Current Champion – Braun Strowman?? “You’re going to get these hands!” Braun Strowman is the current WWE Universal Champion. He won the championship from Bill Goldberg at WrestleMania 36 on April 4. This shirt was designed for him after he won the 2018 Money in the Bank Contract. He is one of the few people to win the Money in the Bank Contract without using it to win a championship. No big deal for Braun because he has it now.

Day 2: Former Champion – Kazuchika Okada

?? Day 2 – Former Champion – Kazuchika Okada ?? ?The Rainmaker Kazuchika Okada is a fromer IWGP Heavyweight Champion. He lost the title to Tetsuya Naito on January 5, 2020 on Night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom. Many argue that Okada is the best wrestler alive today!?

Day 3: Your Best Shirt – Love

?? Day 3 – Your Best Shirt – Love ?? – What else is there to say. The shirt sums up how I feel about Pro Wrestling! I’m going to be posting a picture of me wearing a different wrestling shirt everyday for the next 30 days.

Day 4: Heel – Ronda Rousey

The Theme for Day 4 is “Heel,” and I’ve selected Ronda Rousey. It’s amazing to me how she went from babyface to heel over night. She somehow maintains her heel presence without having been on #WWE television for over a year. Of course, we know that she doesn’t “give a damn ’bout her reputation.” This shirt uses the classic Rowdy Roddy Piper font with the Joan Jett “Bad Reputation” lyric on the front and “Rowdy” on the back.

Day 5: Babyface – Cody

The Ultimate Babyface today is the American Nightmare Cody. My cousin (@severancetravis) picked up the autographed photo circled in white when he met Cody at Starrcast IV. I live near Baltimore, but I had vacation out of the country during the Full Gear Pay Per View (poor planning).

Day 6: Masked Wrestler – Lucha Bros

Cero Miedo! The theme for Day 6 of the #WrestlingShirtChallenge is masked wrestler. How about two masked wrestlers on one awesome stained glass shirt. The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix) tear up the singles and tag divisions wherever they go, so who better to have on my shirt for Masked Wrestler day.

Day 7: Male Wrestler – AJ Styles

The Face that Runs the Place. The Phenomenal AJ Styles has my shirt for Day 6 – Male Wrestler. This “Never Rest, Never Rust” shirt is just Too Sweet. AJ is a former NWA, TNA, IWGP, PWG, and WWE World Champion. His “match” with the Undertaker at WrestleMania 36 last month was arguably the best match on both shows.

Day 8: Female Wrestler – Sasha Banks

“Cause a girl gonna push ’em all out the way.” The Wrestling Shirt Challenge theme for Day 8 is Female Wrestler, so as Michael Cole would say, “It’s Boss Time.” My shirt tells you that Sasha Banks is the legit boss of WWE, so I put on the shirt, pulled the Sasha Banks doll off the shelf and put on some shades (closest I could find). And now . . . “Bow down to the new champ of WWE”
