                    April 17th Episode of Smackdown Results

                    Smackdown results will begin at 8PM tonight.

                    Michael Cole and Corey Graves Run Through the Card

                    Nothing new.

                    A Moment of Bliss

                    The guest is Braun Strowman. They congratulated each other and then cheers’d. Alexa asks about Bray Wyatt and rolls the footage. Braun says nobody knows Bray Wyatt like he does. Braun doesn’t owe Bray anything. Strowman noticed a gift in the corner of the ring, but Alexa says she didn’t get it for him. When Braun opened the gift, he found the sheep mask that he used to wear when he was part of the Wyatt family. Bray’s laughter played throughout the arena as Smackdown went to commercial.

                    Tamina defeats Sasha Banks

                    If Tamina defeats Sasha Banks, then Tamina gets a Smackdown Championship match against Bayley.

                    Sasha gave Tamina a Legit Boss T-Shirt, but it Tamina said that she wears XL not small. After a couple moments, Tamina knocked Sasha out of the ring and Smackdown went to commercial. Back from the break, Sasha hit a meteora to swing the match back in her favor. When action spilled to the outside, Bayley provided a distraction that allowed Banks to push Tamina into the post and then the ring steps.

                    When Bayley stood up to apparently get involved, Lacey Evans came out and hit a forearm jumping off the ring steps. Tamina followed up by hitting Sasha with a pair of super kicks for the pinfall victory.

                    He just says he’s going to win.

                    Backstage Interview with Lacey Evans

                    Sasha Banks got a taste of her own medicine. She isn’t going to stop until the mission is complete. She reveals that Sasha is painted on her hand, but it is also crossed out.

                    Sheamus defeats Denzel Dejournette

                    After viciously beating Denzel down with elbows, he hit a brogue kick fort he pinfall victory.

                    Post Match

                    Sheamus got ticked off at Michael Cole for talking about Jeff Hardy instead of talking more about Sheamus’ match.

                    The video covers Jeff’s drug issues and going to jail. It featured comments from the Big Show and Samoa Joe.

                    Backstage Interview with Dana Brooke and Carmella

                    Carmella wishes that Dana would focus on their tag title match next week. Dana says she can do both.

                    Announced Corporate Ladder Match

                    Money in the Bank Ladder matches will begin on the bottom floor of the WWE Headquarters and the match will end on the roof.

                    Dana Brooke defeats Naomi to Qualify for Money in the Bank

                    This is a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match.

                    The match began with a crucifix pin attempt from Naomi and then both women attempted an O’conner Roll. Dana Brooke sent Naomi to the outside and kept yelling about and pointing to the briefcase. Dana hit many of her bigger moves and evaded the first rear view attempt from Naomi.

                    While Naomi connected with the second Rear View, Dana Brooke evaded the split legged moonsault. Brooke pinned Naomi with a sunset flip.

                    Recap of the Otis and Mandy Rose Storyline

                    Sonya Deville attempts to Clear the Air

                    Sonya begs Mandy to come out to the ring. Deville says the Mandy is the most selfish person she’s ever met. Sonya explains that for the last several years, she has had to come out to Mandy’s music with her face blurred out. She just wanted Mandy to focus on Fire and Desire. Sonya says Mandy has no talent. She’ll use every ounce of her being to ruin her life, so everyone realizes who the real champion of Fire n Desire really was the whole time.

                    Sonya says Mandy looks like she was created in a lab. Dolph Ziggler came out to the ring and asked Mandy to honestly tell him that she doesn’t have feelings for him. Sonya attacked Mandy. That brought Otis out to deal with Dolph Ziggler. When Ziggler tried to jump Otis from behind, Otis sidestepped and ended up hitting the caterpillar.

                    Michael Cole and Corey Graves Talked About the Fink and Introduced a Video Package

                    The video package is similar to the one played at his Hall of Fame induction, but was updated to included footage from his later years (legends house).

                    Daniel Bryan defeats Cesaro

                    This is a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match.

                    Cesaro was knocked out of the ring almost immediately and Daniel Bryan hit him with a suicide dive. Before Smackdown went to commercial, they rolled a video package for the guy revealed the truth about Sonya and Dolph’s deception. Apparently there is more truth in the smackdown locker room that he needs to share.

                    When Smackdown came back from commercial, Daniel Bryan focused on Cesaro’s arm. When Bryan had Cesaro locked in an arm-bar, Cesaro hosted Bryan up with one arm and power bombed him to the mat. On the outside, Cesaro hit a running European Uppercut as Smackdown went to commercial.

                    Back from the commercial, Bryan took back over continuing to work over Cesaro’s arm. Cesaro did take back over for a bunch of the match, but Bryan locked in the Yes Lock. Drew Gulak kept Shinsuke Nakamura out of the ring and Cesaro had to tap out.

                    Very funny.

                    Elias Shown Walking in the Back

                    Corbin attacked him. As Smackdown went to commercial, Corbin dragged Elias through the backstage area. Back from the break, King Corbin continued his beat down on Elias. Apparently nobody was around to help Elias (skeleton crew and all).

                    Recap of the WrestleMania Ladder Match for Smackdown Tag Titles

                    Big E defeats The Miz and Jey Uso

                    This match is for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. Big E had an advantage on the outside, but Jey Uso and The Miz got up and put Big E through the announce table. When Smackdown returned from commercial, Jey Uso hit suicide dives on both men and a cross body on Miz. Miz hit the skull crushing finale, but Jey kicked out. After the kick out, Miz immediately transitioned into the Figure Four.

                    Big E jumped in the ring, pulled Miz off, and hit the Big Ending on Miz for the pinfall victory. The New Day are the new Tag Team Champions.

                    April 15th Episode of Smackdown Preview

                    The Fiend and Braun Strowman

                    WWE has not advertised anything pertaining to the Fiend and Braun Strowman continuing their championship program, but it would seem likely that the story continues with the idea of a match at the upcoming Money in the Bank Pay Per View.

                    Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

                    Daniel Bryan is 6-2 with singles victory over Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew Gulak, Heath Slater on February 7th and February 21st, Curtis Axel, and Cesaro. His only losses came in a Universal Title Strap match with the Fiend and to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania.

                    Cesaro (2-3) has victories over Drew Gulak and Braun Strowman. He has losses to Elias, Braun Strowman, and Daniel Bryan.

                    Naomi vs. Dana Brooke in Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

                    Naomi (2-4) has losses to Bayley at WrestleMania and at Super Showdown, Tamina, and Carmella. She holds victories over Carmella and Bayley by DQ.

                    Dana Brooke (0-1) has a loss to Carmella.

                    Jey Uso vs. The Miz vs. Big E – Smackdown Tag Team Championships

                    With luck, this match will end the series of matches where the Smackdown Tag Team Championship Matches are decided via triple threat singles matches. Jey Uso has not had any singles matches in 2020. The Miz (1-1) has a win and a loss to Kofi Kingston. Big E (0-1) has a loss to John Morrison.

                    Tamina vs. Sasha Banks – Smackdown Championship Opportunity

                    If Tamina can defeat Sasha Banks, then Bayley has agreed to give Tamina a title opportunity. Sasha Banks clearly did not enjoy being put in the line of fire against Tamina. Tamina (1-1) returned to singles action on the final stop before WrestleMania with a victory over Lacey Evans and Naomi in a triple threat match. She lost to Bayley at WrestleMania. Sasha is just 0-1 for the year with a loss to Bayley at WrestleMania.

                    Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose Attempt to Clear the Air

                    Sonya Deville ruined the Valentine’s Day date between Mandy Rose and Otis. Will Sonya be able to get back in Mandy’s good graces.
