Recap of Hammerstone’s Attack on Mance Warner

Mance says he is coming for Hammerstone.

Backstage Interview with Douglas James

James loves to fight, and he will show Averno that he never says die.

Averno defeats Douglas James

Douglas James sent Averno to the outside with a dropkick, but Averno swept James’ legs on the apron. After sending James into the barricade, Averno dropped him again on the apron and then into part of a table. Back in the ring, Averno used a buckle bomb to earn a near fall.

James caught Averno with a superkick and a meteora, but the referee made the slowest three count ever. With both men back on their feet, Averno connected with a stiff forearm and the referee stopped the match.

Bad ending especially with the slow three count.

Backstage Interview with Davey Boy Smith

He hasn’t forgotten about Team Filthy attacking him in Philadelphia. Smith says that Pillman knows the right doctors in Mexico, and he found a way to get cleared.

Lawlor says the only thing they’re focused on is getting even with the Von Erich’s. They want a shot at the Tag Team Titles.

Fighting Continues Between Warner and Hammerstone

Tom Lawlor and Dominic Garrini defeat Puma King and Xtreme Tigre

After several moments of back and forth, Lawlor and Garrini isolated Puma King. Lawlor missed a stinger splash on Xtreme Tigre and Tiger hit a top rope dive. Similar to the referee bias in the previous match, the referee didn’t allow a blind tab from Garrini to Lawlor but did allow a blind tag between Puma King and Xtreme Tigre.

Lawlor connected with a brain buster and Garrini used a leaping knee trike at the same time. Xtreme Tiger made the save as a Contra graphic came over the screen.

Lawlor cinched in a rear naked choke on Xtreme Tigre for the submission victory.

Backstage Segment for Alicia’s Birthday

Mance Warner and Hammerstone wrestled into the room and Warner slammed Hammerstone’s face into the cake as MLW Fusion went off the air.

Neither team has competed as a tag team unit this year.

Douglas James vs. Averno

James (1-1) has a victory over Septimo Dragon and a loss to Erick Stevens. Averno has not wrestled on any of the promotions tracked on Minutes to Bell Time.
