Recap Andrade vs. Drew McIntyre from Last Week

And the Seth Rollins attack at the end of the show.

Drew McIntyre In-Ring Promo

Welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw. McIntyre says he’ll face Rollins at Money in the Bank. Angel Garza and crew interrupt. Zelina says Drew is looking past Angel Garza. In the next moment, Andrade jumped Drew. McIntyre hit the Claymore on Andrade. Despite Zelina screaming at Austin and Angel to make the save, neither of them moved. Drew hit the Claymore on Andrade again.

Aleister Black defeats Austin Theory

This is a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match.

Aleister Black had the advantage when the action spilled to the outside. Zelina Vega left the commentary area and distracted Black. Austin Theory took advantage by tossing Black into the barricade as Raw went to commercial. Back from the break, Austin Theory hit a rolling thunder dropkick and maintained the advantage.

Black hit the second rope moonsault for a near fall. After a high knee, German suplex, and the Black Mass, Aleister Black pinned Austin Theory.

He’ll make sure every floor of WWE Corporate Headquarters turns into his opponent’s personal Hell.

Shayna Baszler defeats Indi Hartwell

After a gut wrench suplex, Baszler attempted to break Hartwell’s arm the same way she broke Sarah last week. Indi Hartwell moved her arm and attempted to roll Shayna up for the pin. Baszler would connect with that move moments later and the referee stopped the match.

Post Match

Baszler came back to the ringside area with a ladder. Baszler put Hartwell’s arm between the legs of the ladder and kicked the ladder into the stairs.

Cedric Alexander and Ricochet defeat Thorne and Vink

Ricochet and Alexander took the early advantage until Brandon Vink pulled Ricochet out of the ring. Ricochet evaded a Razor’s Edge Buckle Bomb to hit a hurricanrana and get the tag to Alexander. After the recoil and lumbar check combination, Cedric Alexander picked up the pinfall victory.

Backstage Interview with Kabuki Warriors

Why should tonight’s rematch between Nia Jax and Kairi Sane be any different. Asuka says “Be serious. Tonight Kairi is ready for the rematch and nobody is ready for Asuka.”

Gym Segment Bobby Lashley

Apparently Bobby is going to show us how to flip a tractor tire.

Nia Jax defeats Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane went for a sleeper early, but Nia began tossing Sane around by the hair. Nia Jax missed Kairi Sane in the corner and tweaked her knee, and Kairi took advantage of the injury. After Kairi hit a sliding clothesline in the corner, Jax evaded the Insane Elbow and hit the Samoan Drop for the pinfall victory.

Rollins Answers the Challenge

He talks about how much they have in common including the fact that they both went to WrestleMania to defeat Brock Lesnar. He accepts the challenge out of necessity and duty. WWE Universe needs a leader.

Apollo Crews is out of his league.

Apollo Crews defeats MVP

This is a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

Crews began the match with a pair of drop kicks and then a shoulder tackle to send MVP to the outside. When Apollo attempted to give chase, MVP swept his legs and knocked him to the floor. Raw went to commercial. Back from commercial, MVP went for the playmaker but Crews rolled threw and connected with a big spine buster. When MVP put his knees up, Apollo Crews crashed on his frog splash attempt. MVP hit the playmaker, but Crews kicked out. After a Gorilla Press and two standing shooting star presses, Apollo hit a sit down power bomb for a pinfall victory.

Backstage Interview with Ruby Riot

Riot says she needed double shoulder surgery because she was carrying Logan and Morgan on her back. Liv will be lucky if Riot doesn’t break both her arms tonight. Ruby says she’ll show Liv how weak she is without her.

Liv Morgan defeats Ruby Riot

Liv Morgan hit a double springboard dropkick for a near fall. Riot and Morgan began trading forearms before Ruby connected with a kick to the face. Ruby went to hit the ropes and Morgan surprised Riot with the second rope flatliner for the pinfall victory.

Rey Mysterio defeats Murphy

This is a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match.

Mysterio dropped to the outside to nurse his injured finger, and Murphy followed him. After tossing Mysterio into the barricade, they got back in the ring. Mysterio and Murphy didn’t stay in the ring long as action spilled to the ramp where Murphy stomped on the injured hand of Mysterio. Raw went to commercial.

Back from the break, Murphy continued to work over Mysterio’s hand on the outside using the post and steel steps. Mysterio caught Murphy with the West Coast Pop, but Murphy evaded the 619. With Murphy on the outside, Mysterio hit a head scissors takeover sending Murphy face first into the barricade. Back in the ring, Murphy rolled through Mysterio’s attempt at a cross body. After a series of high impact combos, Murphy earned a near fall.

Mysterio managed to hit the 619 and the frog splash for the pinfall victory.

Backstage Interview with Zelina Vega

Vega says how do you know things aren’t going according to her plan. How do we even know that Drew McIntyre will make it to Money in the Bank. Angel Garza let’s Charly know that after his match, she should ask him what it was like to pin the WWE champion.

Charlotte Flair defeats Kayden Carter

Charlotte immediately kicked Kayden in the face. Carter evaded a second attempt at a big boot and connected with a crucifix bomb. Flair eventually broke free from Carter, hit a spear, and then the figure eight for the submission victory.

Bobby Lashley Feat of Strength

Lashley turned over an enormous monster truck tire.

Recap of the Opening Segment

Andrade attacked McIntyre, but McIntyre fought back. Garza and Theory didn’t make the save.

Andrade defeats Akira Tozawa

Tozawa took a big early advantage with several strikes including a running knee. With Andrade on the outside, Tozawa hit a running somersault senton driving Andrade into the barricade. Back in the ring, Tozawa used a missile dropkick to send Andrade back to the outside. Vega provided a momentary distraction allowing Andrade to regain control.

Back in the ring, Tozawa took back over, but Andrade hit a back elbow and a dropkick. Tozawa continued to fight back, but Andrade yanked Tozawa off the top rope to hit the hammerlock DDT for the pinfall victory.

As Andrade and Zelina were leaving, the Street Profits came Out Dancing

Montez Ford Introduced Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair defeats Santana Garret

Belair took Garret down with a shoulder tackle. When Belair lifted Santana up into a suplex, she also did three squats before dropping her. Santana Garret hit a top rope cross body, but Bianca Belair kicked out at one. After the K.O.D., Bianca Belair picked up the pinfall victory.

Drew McIntyre defeats Angel Garza

Drew McIntyre tossed Angel Garza all over the ring for the first couple moments and then slammed him down on the barricade when the action went to the floor. Garza attempted to hit a suicide dive, but McIntyre shoved it away. With the benefit of distractions, Garza eventually hit a dropkick and pushed Drew twice into the post. Garza climbed to the top rope and hit a missile dropkick.

McIntyre kicked Garza in the face and then connected with a top rope chop. Garza slid out of the ring, so McIntyre hit a tope con hilo on to the entire pack. He tossed Andrade over the barricade and hit a Claymore on Austin Theory.  Back in the ring, McIntyre hit Garza with the Claymore kick for the pinfall victory.

Post Match

Drew McIntyre hit Angel Garza with another Claymore kick. Austin Theory got in the ring, and McIntyre gave him a Claymore too.


Raw Preview

WWE has announced three Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches. WWE is also teasing a response from Drew McIntyre regarding Seth Rollins’ surprise attack last week.

Drew McIntyre Responds to Seth Rollins

It looks like this will be our Main Event at the May 10th Money in the Bank Pay Per View. Drew McIntyre (10-0-0-1) is currently 10-0 with victories in the Royal Rumble and in one on one matches with AndradeBrock Lesnar, Big Show, No Way JoseMVPRowanMojo RawleyGallows and Anderson in a handicap match, and AJ Styles and Randy Orton in a triple threat match. The only blemish in his 2020 record is a weird no contest against Randy Orton in January.

Seth Rollins (2-4) hasn’t had all that great of a year in singles competition accumulating two losses to Kevin Owens at WrestleMania (DQ and Pinfall) plus two additional losses to Aleister Black and Ricochet. His two victories came over Montez Ford and an NXT Guy.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches

Aleister Black vs. Austin Theory

Aleister Black’s amazing 17-1 record has included an absolute mountain of victories. His only loss came at the hands of AJ Styles after Black had already wrestled in two matches. He has victories over Oney Lorcan, Apollo Crews, Bobby LashleyJason Cade, Leon Ruff, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Erick Rowan on February 17th and again on February 24th, Akira Tozawa, Eric Young, Kenneth Johnson, a local competitor, Buddy Murphy, and Shelton Benjamin.

Austin Theory (3-2) has victories over Joaquin Wilde, Isaiah Swerve Scott, and Tozawa. His losses came at the hands of Tommaso Ciampa and Tyler Breeze.

Apollo Crews vs. MVP

In this match someone will get their first victory of the year. MVP (0-2) has lost to Drew McIntyre and Rey Mysterio. Apollo Crews (0-4) has losses to Aleister Black and Sheamus on February 7, February 14, and March 6.

Rey Mysterio vs. Murphy

Rey Mysterio’s 4-2 record includes wins over MVP, Angel Garza on February 3 and March 9, and Andrade. Mysterio also lost to Andrade on January 6th and January 20th.

Murphy (0-2) is looking for his first victory of the year losing to Aleister Black and Angelo Dawkins.
