IWA Relentless
- Updated: November 20, 2020
IWA Relentless
“IWA Relentless” comes from Contributor “Alcoholic” Adam Pokrajac. Pokrajac routinely provides the cold hard truth on Australian Wrestling with a heavy focus on New South Wales. He believes this is the most under appreciated wrestling scene in the world today and he reviews it with a beer in his hand.
When and Where to Watch
Your favourite Alcoholic Adam breaks down IWA’s Relentless event that takes place on 21st November at 6AM Eastern Time (8PM Local Time in Australia). To watch the event head over to Australian Wrestling Network or IWA rewind where you can watch the action at a later date.
The Card
Will Kiedies & Kingsley v The Prefects (Jimmy Townsend & Cherry Stephens)
This match came about due to Kiedies eliminating Jimmy and winning the Super Contenders rumble.
Kiedis is riding the highest of IWA highs having won the Super Contenders, which is exactly the same as WWE Money In the Bank. He had a major assist due to Kingsley interference.
As for the Prefects, Jimmy wants to prove he can still be a contender for the IWA heavyweight Championship.
This is Cherry’s debut, so she will out to prove she has enough talent to earn a regular spot on the card.
Adam’s prediction: Kiedies has become too clinical to lose a match especially alongside Kingsley, who will be clutch when it matters the most.
Sam Osbourne v Tree Hugger Luchi
For this contest, we have some of the most talented in ring competitors in the country.
Luchi is looking to continue his momentum as the no.1 contender for the Trans Tasman Championship.
Osbourne is attempting to avenge the embarrassment of getting quickly eliminated in the super contender’s rumble (after guaranteeing he would win it).
Osborne has made this match personal by destroying the earth and vegetation that Luchi holds so dear.
Adam’s prediction: Osbourne wins clean and gets back in title contention.
‘Cowboy’ Chris Abbot (C) Open Challenge
Cowboy is one week away from breaking the record as the longest reigning IWA Heavyweight Champion at an incredible 756 days. He won the title from NXT’s Bronson Reed
He decided to host an open challenge. Rumored challengers include:
- Mick Moretti is the unpredictable rapscallion.
- Randal, a mainstay of IWA who has never won the big one. It could be his best chance to catch the champion off guard.
- Adam Brooks was in New South Wales a few weeks ago. Who knows if he stayed to add some IWA gold around his waist?
- Will Kiedies can cash in his super contenders title shot. That cannot be ruled out.
Adam’s prediction: Mick Moretti answers the challenge in a barn burner of a match where Chris Abbot wins. Post-match Kiedies cashes in his super contender’s cup and wins the IWA Heavyweight Championship.
