May 5th Episode of Impact Wrestling Results

Results begin tonight at 8 pm.

Sami Callihan In Ring Promo

Sami says he has unfinished business with Ken Shamrock, so he requests that Ken come to the ring. Ken came out and gave Sami credit for not tapping out. Sami didn’t want the help from the referee. Shamrock says we can either shake hands and go after Impact Championship or we can take the fight back outside. Michael Elgin came out to the ring. Elgin says he’s the real champion.

The three of them got in a bit of a fight, but nothing really happened.

Backstage Interview with Chris Bey

Chris Bey says he is the number one contender for the X-Division Championship. He says he’ll finesse his way into an X division championship match.

Willie Mack Pre Taped Interview

Willie Mack says he’ll finesse his foot up Chris Bey’s ass.

Josh and Madison Run through the Evening

  • Added Chris Bey vs. Willie Mack for X- Division Title
  • Added Sit Down Interview with Moose.

XXXL defeated oVe

Larry D hit a big slam on Madman Fulton and Ace Romero hit a running senton, but XXXL allowed Fulton to make the tag. With Jake Crist in the ring, Ace Romero tossed him around the ring before tagging in Larry D. Dave Crist pulled Jake out of the ring as Impact went to commercial.

Fulton pulled Acey Romero off the top rope into a fireman’s carry position and dropped him. Acey created some space with a front facing spine buster and both Fulton and Acey tagged out of the match. With Jake Crist on the outside, Larry D hit a suicide dive. Fulton rushed in the ring and snatched Larry off the ropes.

XXXL ended up getting the victory when Larry D punched Jake Crist in the face.

Locker Room Talk

Madison Rayne asked about Nivea showing up last week. Kimber Lee came into the locker room and they got in each other’s faces.

Cousin Jake Pre Tape Segment

When quarantining started, he just pulled over and started talking to his wrestling figures.

Suicide defeats Johnny Swinger

Swinger demanded that the referee check Suicide for weapons. As soon as the referee began to check Suicide, Swinger jumped him. Suicide knocked Swinger out of the ring and hit a dive. After a code breaker, Suicide climbed the ropes and hit a swanton for the pinfall victory.

Backstage Interview with Ace Austin

He says the X-Division Match will be a triple threat match because he is owed a rematch.

Josh Matthews Interview with Moose

Moose says he’s calling himself the champion because he has defeated all the TNA legends. He mentions a bunch of names including Ken Shamrock. Moose lost to Ken Shamrock at Impact’s Hard to Kill PPV in January. Matthews announces that there is going to be a number one contender tournament for the Impact World Championship.

Moose says he is pulling himself out of the tournament because the Impact World Championship is a second class championship. The TNA Heavyweight Championship is more prestigious. Josh Matthews says Moose didn’t win the title. Moose fought him on the point and eventually left when Josh didn’t drop it.

Joseph Ryan defeats Cousin Jake

Joey Ryan was not in the ring when the bell rang. He demanded that the referee calm Cousin Jake down before he would get in the ring. Joseph Ryan slipped back in the ring and then out. When they both got in the ring, Cousin Jake got the early advantage with several strikes.

Joey Ryan rolled out of the ring again. Back in the ring, Joey Ryan drop kicked Cousin Jake. Jake returned to his feet and slammed Joey Ryan to the mat. After a sit-down powerbomb, Cousin Jake earned a near fall.

When Cousin Jake ran in for a splash in the corner, Joseph pulled the referee in front of him. The referee walked away, Ryan poked Jake in the eye, and Joey Ryan rolled up Cousin Jake for the pinfall victory. He used tights.

She is the girl on fire.

The North Segment

This was not a real match. The North came out to the ring. Ethan Page spoke to the dummies set up as fans in the crowd. Ethan Page asked Josh Alexander about the match he has always wanted. Alexander said Kurt Angle. Ethan Page told Alexander not to joke because the 90 days aren’t up yet.

They brought out a couple of guys called the Creeps. They pinned them in about 30 seconds. I guess it is a title defense, but not really a match.

Rosemary at the Bar Again

Rohit Raju Takes Moose’s Spot

He will be in the Number One Contender’s Tournament. His mother called him son because he shined like one.

Willie Mack defeats Chris Bey and Ace Austin to Retain the X-Division Championship

Ace Austin attempted to grab the title before the match started, but Mack attacked him. Mack was on top when Impact went to commercial. Back from the commercial, Mack hit a samoan drop with both men on his back. He then hit a standing moonsault on both men.

Austin and Bey stood on the outside appearing to make a plan. As soon as Bey turned his back, Austin threw Bey into the post and then the barricade. The match continued with Bey and Austin getting in each other’s way. With both Bey and Austin on the outside, Willie Mack hit a Tope Con Hilo.

Willie Mack had both men trapped in the corners, and he hit an exploder suplex on Chris Bey. Mack hit the stunner, but Ace Austin nailed Mack with the fold. Chris Bey broke up Austin’s cover. Austin hit the fold on Chris Bey, but Willie Mack broke up that cover.

Willie Mack evaded a hurricanrana from Ace Austin and hit the six star frog splash for the pinfall victory.

Sami Callihan Returns

We hear from Sami for the first time since his loss to Ken Shamrock at Impact Rebellion Night One. Remember that he turned on oVe during the match.

The North Defend the Tag Team Titles

The North’s historic tag team championship run and 2020 4-1 win-loss record includes victories over Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards, TJP and Fallah Bahh, the Rascalz, Willie Mack. The only defeat in 2020 was a loss to TJP and Fallah Bahh, which they avenged with aforementioned win.

Josephy P. Ryan vs. Cousin Jake

Cousin Jake (0-1) had his first singles match and first singles loss of 2020 when he faced Joseph Ryan at Impact Rebellion. In this Rebellion rematch, Cousin Jake looks to get his win back. Joseph Ryan enters the match with a 4-3 record defeating Cousin Jake, Maximo, and Johnny Swinger on 1/14 and 2/22. His losses came at the hands of RVD, Acey Romero, and Cody Deaner.
