Gronk Welcomes Us
He knows something about dropping the hammer on a championship Sunday.
Charlotte defeats Rhea Ripley
After baiting and mocking each other, Rhea Ripley hit Riptide at the two minute mark. Charlotte kicked out of the pinfall attempt and rolled out of the ring. On the outside of the ring, Ripley hit a somersault senton off the ring steps. Ripley dominated for most of the first six minutes, but Charlotte grabbed Rhea’s leg and wrenched it down over the top rope. Charlotte then focused all of her offense on Rhea’s leg even wrapping it around the ring post.
The match went back and forth with both women getting periods of offense. After 13 minutes, Ripley hit a top rope missile dropkick for a near fall. At one point, Ripley held Charlotte in the inverted cloverleaf, but Charlotte escaped. They continued to exchange submissions and pinfall attempts
When Charlotte attempted a top rope moonsault, Rhea put her feet up. Charlotte recovered quickly and eventually locked in the Figure Eight for the submission victory.
Recap of Night 1
Aleister Black defeats Bobby Lashley
Aleister Black pulled down the top rope sending Lashley to the outside. Lashley evaded the triangle moonsault off the second turnbuckle and hit an overhead belly to belly suplex on the outside. Back in the ring, Lashley hit Aleister Black in the corner and followed up with a Rude Awakening. Lashley would continue to hit some major power moves including a powerslam and a vertical suplex. When Lashley went for a spear, Aleister raised his knee to strike Lashley in the head. After sending Lashley back to the outside, Aleister did hit the triangle moonsault.
When Lashley attempted to use the dominator to finish Aleister Black, Lana climbed up on the apron and demanded that Lashley spear Black. Lashley attempted the spear, but Aleister Black hit Black Mass for the pinfall victory.
Backstage Interview with Sasha Banks and Bayley
Bayley claims they’re united. Once Bayley left, Sasha said we’ll just have to wait and see.
Charly Interviews Gronk
Gronk says he wouldn’t mind winning the 24/7 title by end of night.
Otis defeats Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler hit a super kick early to send Otis to the outside where Ziggler shoved Otis into the post. Ziggler maintained the advantage until Otis grabbed Dolph’s legs and used a slingshot to send Dolph into the turnbuckle. After Otis took Dolph down with a pair of clotheslines, Otis sent Dolph into the turnbuckle and the dropped him over the top rope. On the outside, Otis threw Ziggler into the barricade and the post before tossing Ziggler back in the ring.
With both men back in the ring, Otis went for the caterpillar when Deville jumped up on the apron. As the referee admonished Sonya, Dolph Ziggler hit a low blow on Otis.
All of a sudden, Mandy’s music came on. Mandy took out Sonya and gave Dolph a low blow. Otis gave Ziggler the caterpillar to win the match. Afterward Otis and Mandy celebrated with a kiss.
Edge defeats Randy Orton
It seemed weird that Edge came out first, but it made sense once we found out Randy Orton was posing as a camera man. Orton surprised Edge with an RKO. Once Edge made it back to his feet, the referee called for the bell and Orton immediately hit another RKO. Edge just barely made it to his feet and Randy hit him with a camera. Orton dragged Edge to the backstage area, which was really just the PC gym. As Orton picked up a weight plate, Edge kicked the plate and sent Orton to the ground.
They fought back to the ringside area where Orton tossed Edge off a platform into the ringside barricade. The match continued to an office area and then into storage section of the Performance Center. Edge climbed a ladder and leaped off a storage cage onto Randy Orton and sent him through a table. Both men answered the 10 count.
The match then proceeded to the garage area where Randy gave Edge a draping DDT on the back of a pickup. Edge then climbed on top of a production truck and Orton followed. This gave Edge a lot of running room to hit a spear and he did that. When Edge went for a second spear, Orton hit an RKO. Randy then left to get a couple of chairs and returned to the top of the production truck. Before Orton could hit the Con-Chair-to, Edge jumped up and put Orton in a choke hold. With Orton choked out, Edge hit a con-chair-to to finish the match.
Gronk jumps off the Balcony to Win the 24/7 Title
Street Profits defeat Angel Garza Austin Theory
The Street Profits had complete control over the match until Theory tossed Dawkins over the top rope where Garza connected with a super kick. Garza and Theory kept Dawkins isolated for a a minute or so, but Dawkins eventually got a tag to Montez Ford. Ford took out both Dawkins and Theory with a Tope Con Hilo, but Garza answered with a top rope moonsault to take out both mementos of the Street Profits.
Theory hit Dawkins with a cutter, but Ford came off the top rope with a frog splash to secure the pinfall victory.
Post Match
Vega, Garza, and Theory triple teamed the Street Profits. This brought out Bianca Belair who took out Zelina Vega with the KOD.
Titus O’Neil is the New Host
Because Gronk took off with the title.
Bayley defeats Sasha Banks, Tamina, Lacey Evans, and Naomi
- Everyone piled on top of Tamina to eliminate her.
- Sasha Banks defeats Naomi by submission with the Bank Statement
- Bayley hit Sasha in the corner on accident. Sasha got pissed. As Bayley and Sasha were trying to work things out, Lacey hit the woman’s right for the pinfall victory.
- Sasha Banks jumped in the ring and gave Lacey a back stabber. Bayley took advantage and got the victory.
Bray Wyatt defeats John Cena
John Cena got transported to the Fun House. It’s a movie like last night. The Fiend eventually pins Cena in the middle of a ring. The screen goes black and Titus comes back on to say “I don’t know what I just saw.”
Drew McIntyre defeats Brock Lesnar
McIntyre hit a Claymore in the first 20 seconds, but Lesnar kicked out. Brock evaded the second Claymore and hit 2 German Suplexes. Lesnar then hit an F5 that McIntyre kicked out of after a one count. McIntyre kicked out of a second and third F5. When Lesnar went for a fourth, McIntyre slipped out and hit Lesnar with three Claymore kicks to earn the pinfall victory
KickOff Show
Liv Morgan defeats Natalya
Liv extended her hand for a handshake, but Natalya grabbed the hand and pulled her to the mat. Morgan hit Natalya with a hip attack, but then missed a second attempt. Natalya did her normal spot where she walked over Liv, hit the ropes, came back and drop kicked Liv in the face. With Liv on the apron, Natalya hit a discus clothesline. Back in the ring, Natalya hit a snap suplex and went for a submission with a surfboard.
After both women collected a series of near falls, Liv Morgan managed to roll up Natalya for the pinfall victory. Technically sound and good pre show match.
