Huge WrestleMania Preview and Predictions

Brock Lesnar (C) vs. Drew McIntyre – WWE Championship

Drew McIntyre eliminated Brock Lesnar and won the Royal Rumble in January. The next night on Monday Night Raw, he immediately declared Brock Lesnar as his WrestleMania opponent.

With the exception of a weird no contest against Randy Orton in January, McIntyre goes into WrestleMania with seven straight wins and no losses. He has accumulated wins in the Royal Rumble and against No Way Jose, MVP, Rowan, Mojo Rawley, Gallows and Anderson in a handicap match, AJ Styles and Randy Orton in a triple threat match.

Brock Lesnar has only wrestled one match in 2020 defeating Ricochet at WWE Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia. The match lasted for 1 minute and 28 seconds. As noted, Brock also competed in the Royal Rumble eliminating the first 13 competitors before McIntyre eliminated him.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Drew McIntyre

Goldberg (C) vs. Braun Strowman – Universal Championship

WWE offered no explanation for the last minute substitution of Braun Strowman for Roman Reigns. They casually explained that Braun Strowman would now wrestle Goldberg for the Universal Championship. I assume they believe everyone knows that Roman declined to compete as he wanted to take extra precautions given his compromised immune system.

Goldberg enters WrestleMania with a 1-0 record in 2020 defeating The Fiend in Saudi Arabia.

Braun Strowman’s record in 2020 is 3-1. He lost to Sami Zayn in a handicap match where the defeat also cost him the Intercontinental Championship. He has victories over Cesaro and two victories over Shinsuke Nakamura on January 10th and  January 31st.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Braun Strowman

AJ Styles vs. The Undertaker – Bone Yard Match

While the Undertaker is 24-2 at WrestleMania, he has only competed in one match this year. He defeated AJ Styles in the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match.

AJ Styles (2-3) has wrestled a lot more in 2020, but he has a bit of a mediocre record losing to Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, and the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match. He has defeated Aleister Black and Tozawa in 2020.

AJ has made the match personal by verbally attacking ‘Taker’s wife Michell McCool, but Taker vows to make AJ Styles Rest in Peace.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Undertaker

John Cena vs. The Fiend – Fire Fly Fun House Match

The Fiend (1-1) holds a Universal Championship Title defense against Daniel Bryan and a Universal Championship Title loss to Bill Goldberg.

John Cena has not wrestled in 2020, but holds a WrestleMania victory over Bray Wyatt a few years ago.

With Bray Wyatt out for revenge for his WrestleMania loss, he blames John Cena for everything that has happened to him. John Cena says that Bray Wyatt is Bray Wyatt’s worse enemy, and he plans to put The Fiend down at WrestleMania.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: The Fiend

Edge vs. Randy Orton – Last Man Standing Match

Aside from his brief return at the Royal Rumble back in January, Edge has not wrestled a match in nine years.

Randy Orton comes into WrestleMania with a 2020 record of (1-1-0-1). Aside from the weird no contest against Drew McIntyre, Randy lost to Drew McIntyre in a triple threat match that also included AJ Styles. Randy did capitalize on some interference by Seth Rollins to score a win over Kevin Owens back on February 24th.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Randy Orton

Becky Lynch (C) vs. Shayna Baszler – Raw Championship

Lynch enters WrestleMania with a 3-0 record defeating Asuka at the Royal Rumble and on February 10th. Becky also defeated Kairi Sane on January 20th.

Shayna Baszler is coming off a huge win at the Elimination Chamber where she submitted Natalya, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Ruby Riot, and Asuka. Baszler also has 2020 wins over Shotzi Blackheart and Kairi Sane to give her the exact same record as Becky Lynch (3-0).

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Shayna Baszler

Bayley (C) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Tamina vs. Lacey Evans vs. Naomi – Smackdown Championship Elimination match

Bayley (3-2) comes to WrestleMania with losses against two of her four opponents as she lost by disqualification to Naomi earlier this year and by pinfall in a non-title match to Lacey Evans. On the other hand, Bayley also holds victories over both Lacey and Naomi as well as a third victory over Carmella. Interestingly, 2 of Bayley’s victories came on big shows (Royal Rumble and Super Show Down). Does that give her an advantage heading into WrestleMania.

Sasha Banks has not wrestled a singles match this year.

Tamina (1-0) returned to singles action on the final stop before WrestleMania with a victory over Lacey Evans and Naomi in a triple threat match.

Naomi’s 2-3 record includes both the win and loss to Bayley mentioned above plus a win against Carmella in a one one match and a loss to Carmella in a fatal four way. She also lost to Tamina on the Smackdown before WrestleMania.

Both of Lacey Evans (1-1) singles matches were against Bayley. She has a win and a loss as discussed above. She also lost to Tamina in the same triple threat match mentioned above.

The interesting thing about this match will be the role that Sasha Banks plays. Will she help or hurt Bayley? Are the friends as tight as they say they or will they implode?

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Bayley (and I think she eliminates Sasha Banks).

Rhea Ripley (C) vs. Charlotte Flair – NXT Championship

Rhea Ripley (3-0) challenged the winner of the Royal Rumble before the winner could decide which champion she wanted to face. Charlotte accepted the challenge and now faces a woman undefeated in singles competition this year. She has victories over Bianca Belair, Toni Storm, and Sarah Logan.

As it turns out, Charlotte is also undefeated this year with four major wins against Asuka, Bianca Belair, Sarah Logan, and in the Royal Rumble.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Rhea Ripley

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins

Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins have been fighting each other for over a decade. If you don’t believe me, go check ROH’s You Tube channel because they recently uploaded interviews and matches. What you may find most interesting is that the storyline is pretty really hasn’t changed.

Kevin Owens has only wrestled one match this year, and he lost to Randy Orton.

Seth Rollins has a 1-2 record losing to Aleister Black and Ricochet and defeating Montez Ford.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Seth Rollins

Sami Zayn (C) vs. Daniel Bryan – Intercontinental Championship

Sami Zayn hasn’t done much in the last year with only one singles match in all of 2020, and that was a handicap match where Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura did all the work against Braun Strowman.

Daniel Bryan is 5-1 with singles victory over Drew Gulak, Heath Slater on February 7th and February 21st, Curtis Axel, and Cesaro. His only loss came in a Universal Title Strap match with the Fiend.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Daniel Bryan

The Miz and John Morrison (C) vs. The New Day vs. The Usos – Smackdown Tag Team Championship

Miz and Morrison have had a difficult run as Tag Team Champions. They first had to defend their titles inside the Elimination Chamber and now they have a tag team ladder match title defense against both the Usos and the New Day.

The Champions (4-3) have victories against Heavy Machinery, New Day, several teams inside the Elimination Chamber, and a fatal four way against Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party, and the Revival. Their losses include the Tag Team Gauntlet Match, the Usos, and the team of Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan.

The New Day (0-3-0-1) have yet to record a traditional tag team victory in 2020. They lost their titles to Miz and Morrison and then again lost to the current tag champions at Elimination Chamber. They also lost the Tag Team Gauntlet match to Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler and had a match against The Usos ended in a No Contest.

The Usos have a 3-3 record in tag team action and hold a victory over the current tag team champions. Their other wins in 2020 include victories over the team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler and The Revival.  Their losses include the Elimination Chamber, the Tag Team Gauntlet Match, and King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Miz and Morrison.

The Street Profits vs. Angel Garza and Austin Theory – Raw Tag Team Championship

The Street Profits defend their Tag Team Championship titles against a team that was thrown together at the last minute due a rib injury to Andrade. In Austin Theory’s second main roster match, he finds himself wrestling at WrestleMania.

Theory and Garza have never competed in a traditional tag team match.

The Street Profits have a 4-2 record in traditional tag team matches with victories over Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy on March 2nd and March 8th and a loss to the same team on February 27th. Their other wins came against Mojo Rawley and Riddick Moss and the team of Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink. The Street Profits also lost to the Viking Raiders in a triple threat match that also included the O.C.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Street Profits

Elias vs. King Corbin

If Elias makes it to WrestleMania after his big fall on the March 27th edition of Smackdown, then he’ll come in with a 1-0 record for the year. He defeated Cesaro on February 7th.

Corbin has wrestled more matches, but has yet to record a singles victory this year having lost to Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble and then again at Super Showdown. He also lost to Jeff Hardy making his record 0-3.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: King Corbin

Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley comes in with a 3-3 record with victories over Rusev, R-Truth, and Zack Ryder. He lost in the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match and also to Ricochet on February 3rd and February 10th.

Aleister Black’s amazing 14-1 record has included an absolute mountain of victories. His only loss came at the hands of AJ Styles after Black had already wrestled in two matches. He has victories over Jason Cade, Leon Ruff, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Erick Rowan on February 17th and again on February 24th, Akira Tozawa, Eric Young, Kenneth Johnson, a local competitor, Buddy Murphy, and Shelton Benjamin.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Aleister Black

Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler

Otis is 1-0 in singles competition earning a victory over Drew Gulak.

Ziggler (0-2) has no wins and losses to Mansoor and Tucker.

Mandy Rose is the clear wild card here, so we’ll see how she factors into the outcome of the match.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Otis

Kabuki Warriors vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

The Kabuki Warriors are just 1-0 this year as Asuka was wrapped up in a singles program competing for the Raw Championship. The one victory was a win against Natalya and Liv Mogan.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are 1-2 in Tag Team competition with a victory over Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. The two losses came to Sasha Banks and Bayley and Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

Kick Off Matches

Drew Gulak vs. Cesaro

Drew Gulak (1-2) has a victory Shinsuke Nakamura and losses to Daniel Bryan and Otis.

Cesaro is looking for his first win of the year having lost three singles matches to Braun Strowman, Elias, and Daniel Bryan.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Drew Gulak

Liv Morgan vs. Natalya

Will the veteran Natalya beat down Liv Morgan under the learning tree or will Liv Morgan find a way to extend her impressive 2020 singles record?

Liv Morgan has a suprisingly good singles record in 2020 at 3-1 with her only loss coming to the hands of Shayna Baszler in the Elimination Chamber. She has victories over Ruby Riot, and Lana on January 27th and February 3rd.

Natalya has an 0-3 record losing to both members of the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) and to Shayna Baszler in the Elimination Chamber.

The combination of Natalya and Liv Morgan lost to the Kabuki Warriors on the March 9th episode of Monday Night Raw when Ruby Riot and Sarah Logan came down to ringside distracting Morgan from the match.

Minutes to Bell Time Prediction: Liv Morgan
