Vince McMahon Opens the Show
- As soon as he gets done welcoming us, The Fiend’s music comes on.
- Once the Fiend makes it to the ring, Braun Strowman’s music comes on.
- With Braun and the Fiend in the middle of the ring, Retribution circles the ring.
- The lights went out. When they came back on, The Fiend was gone.
- Retribution beat Strowman down until the locker room came out.
- When he got back up, Braun Strowman started attacking members of the Smackdown locker room.
Big E defeats Sheamus – 00:10:08
- The Smackdown locker room surrounded the ring for this match in hopes of preventing another Retribution attack. The lights began to flicker just prior to the commercial.
- When a brawl broke out between King Corbin, Matt Riddle, and others outside the ring, Sheamus got distracted.
- This led to Big E rolling up
Backstage in Trainers Room
- Jeff Hardy says someone fell on him or attacked him. He asks fro a brace because he can’t miss the match.
Lucha House Party Walking Backstage
- Cesaro and Nakamura attack them from behind before proceeding to the ring.
Nakamura and Cesaro defeat The Lucha House Party – 05:35
- Miz and Morrison did an in-set promo part way through the match.
- Cesaro and Lince Dorado countered some pinfall attempts until Cesaro finally pinned Dorado’s shoulders to the mat.
Post Match
- Lince Dorado and Kalisto got in a disagreement.
Video Reveals how Jeff Hardy Got Hurt
- AJ Styles attacked him.
Backstage Interview with AJ Styles
- He says if Jeff had more urgency about stopping Retribution, he wouldn’t be in the way.
- Styles then bumps belts with Sasha Banks and Bayley.
Backstage Interview with Mandy Rose
- She chooses to believe that the Sonya she’s known for the last five years is still out there.
- Mandy wants to get back to where they were.
Corey Graves Interviews Sasha Banks and Corey Graves
- Corey: Are the two of you splitting up?
- Sasha and Bayley: No
- Corey says that it doesn’t seem to be logical to have Bayley face Asuka first. Asuka has Bayley’s number and Asuka wants revenge on Bayley for the beating she gave to Kairi Sane.
- It causes a bit of an argument when Bayley says it was just a suggestion that she would go first.
- Naomi comes out and challenges them to matches tonight. Corey suggests that they do a beat the clock challenge.
Sasha Banks defeats Naomi – 03:39
- This is the first match in the beat the clock challenge.
- Sasha used the bank statement to get the submission victory at 3:39.
Naomi defeats Bayley – 01:55
- This is the second match in the beat the clock challenge.
- Naomi used the Rear View to get the pinfall victory over Bayley.
- Bayley will need to face Asuka first at SummerSlam.
Asuka Comes Out
- She will be the empress of every title because nobody is ready for Asuka.
Sonya Deville Backstage
- Dana Brooke came out to say that she’s sorry for everything she went through last week. Sonya says it’s nothing she can’t handle. After smacking Brooke across the face, she says that was disrespectful.
Sonya Comes Out to the Arena
- Sonya says it’s going to be a NO DQ match where the loser leaves WWE.
Nikki Cross Backstage
- She says Alexa is off and different. She has a feeling that something terrible is going to happen.
Daniel Bryan Says
- He hopes Jeff Hardy gives Smackdown the champion they deserve.
Jeff Hardy defeats AJ Styles – 11:07
- Jeff Hardy kicked Styles in the head, but the knee brace connected with Styles’ face.
- After a swanton bomb, Hardy got the pinfall victory. He bacame Intercontinental Champion.
AJ Styles is Furius Backstage
Firefly Fun House
- Bray tells us that love is bad and we should be more like The Fiend (fueled by hate).
- Braun attacked Bray in the funhouse.
Fight Continues Backstage
- Braun tosses Bray off a loading dock.
- Officials and the medical team put Bray in the ambulance. It started to leave the arena, but then it backed up.
- When the doors opened, The Fiend stood laughing in the camera as Smackdown went off the air.
