Dakota Kai defeats Rhea Ripley – 15:50

  • Commentators due a nice job of setting up the match by telling the history between Ripley and Kai that goes all the way back to War Games when Ripley told Kai she didn’t make the cut.
  • Mercedes Martinez came out of nowhere to quickly attack Ripley. The referee didn’t see and Dakota followed up with the GO To Kick for the pinfall victory.
  • Dakota will now face Io Shirai at Takeover 30.

Post Match

  • Mercedes Martinez came back and hit the air raid crash on Ripley

Bronson Reed defeats Shane Thorne – 04:33

  • After a Death Valley driver, Bronson Reed hit the Tsunami Splash for the pinfall victory

Breezango Shows Up at the Arena

  • Legado del Fantasma attacked them and kidnapped Fandango

Backstage Interview with the Robert Stone Brand

  • Rhea Ripley may be done with the Robert Stone Brand, but the Robert Stone Brand is not done with Rhea.

Damian Priest defeats Lorcan and Holland – 10:15

  • After hitting the reckoning on Oney Lorcan, Damian Priest picked up the pinfall victory.

Keith Lee defeats Cameron Grimes – 12:30

  • Lee uses the Spirit Bomb to secure the pinfall victory over Cameron Grimes.

Post Match

  • Karrion Kross says since the match hasn’t been made, all of this is on Keith Lee. The camera pans away and it shows a whole bunch of people laid out. “Tick Tock.”

William Regal Announcement

  • Dexter Lumis is out of the TakeOver Ladder Match due to injury.
  • August 19: The four men not pinned in triple threat matches will compete for the final spot in the Ladder Match (Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Ridge Holland vs. ?)

Legado del Fantasma In Ring Interview

  • They’re mad about Breezango disrespecting Lucha Libre at Great American Bash.
  • They toss Fandango in the ring and Breeze runs out to the ring, but Legado del Fantasma cut him off and left both members of Breezango in a pile.
  • Escobar then told Swerve Scott to not speak his name again or he would end up like Breezango.

Priest Parking Lot Interview

  • Now is the time.
  • He says it sucks to be Lumis. Bronson Reed congratulates Priest in the parking lot. Damian Priest tells Bronson to get his aspirations out of his head.
  • They have an argument and agree to a one on one match.

Pat Mcafee Joins Tom Phillips

  • Apparently everything is good between everyone at NXT and Pat.

Tegan Nox defeats Indi Hartwell – 03:04

  • Nox hit the shiniest wizard for the pinfall victory

Imperium defeats Undisputed Era – 10:46

  • Kyle O’Reilly gets distracted by an altercation between Pat Mcafee and Adam Cole.
  • Imperium takes advantage and hits a European bomb on Bobby Fish for the pinfall victory.

Adam Cole and Pat McAfee

  • Officials had to separate Cole and McAfee. Pat ended up taking a cheap shot and punting Cole in the head. Keep in mind that McAfee is former NFL punter.
