*Pretty Deadly to the ring…the fans are clearly not loving their schtick…Grizzled Young Veterans interrupt, claim they’re long overdue for a tag title shot… Legado del Fantasma interrupt & things get physical with GYV…Bron Breakker comes through the crowd & takes center ring as the tag action spills to the floor…Breakker calls out Gacy…Joe Gacy answers from the ‘tron & tells Breakker to come find him.
*Santos Escobar watches Melo & Trick in a digital Exclusive…Santos says Melo was never worthy of the North American Championship & now belongs at the back of the line…cut to Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams backstage…Melo says he created that line & Santos will be the 1st victim of his “Getting Back the Gold” Tour.
(1) Tiffany Stratton defeats Sarray…Stratton hits a corkscrew Vader Bomb for the win (04:32).
*Grizzled Young Veterans bump into Bron Breakker backstage…Bron hears his father’s voice & follows it to find a tablet playing the segment of Joe Gacy kidnapping Rick from weeks ago…Bron smashes it & returns to the hunt.
*Pretty Deadly bump into Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta backstage…Indi & Persia try to sweet talk the champs into a match, which Pretty Deadly seem game for, but it’s not for themselves…it’s for Dexter Lumis & Duke Hudson…Pretty Deadly want nothing to do with that pair & backpedal quickly…we find out several segments later that this match is happening tonight & the tag titles are on the line!
*Grayson Waller backstage with McKenzie…he fired Sanga…Andre Chase interrupts for a teachable moment…Sanga appears & chases a terrified Waller to the ring…
(2) Grayson Waller defeats Sanga…Sanga is dominating Waller until they spill outside & Waller manages to run him into the ringpost…he rolls Sanga in & hits his rolling Stunner for the win (03:29).
*Cora Jade promo…she used to see Natalya as an idol & a future dream opponent…now she only cares about kicking Natty’s legendary ass.
*Roxanne Perez (fka ROK-C) vignette…her childhood dream is coming true, she debuts next week…cut to Roxanne backstage with McKenzie…Toxic Attraction interrupt, Mandy tells her she won’t reach the heights she’s hoping for…Jacy Jayne challenges her to move her debut to tonight…Roxanne is in her street clothes, so she’s off to prepare.
(3) Legado del Fantasma defeat Drake & Gibson…Legado hit a combo Leg Sweep/Enzuigiri on Drake, Wilde covers for the win (03:59)…AFTER…Santos Escobar grabs a mic to tell Tony D’Angelo to pay attention to what a leader does, as he “takes care” of Carmelo Hayes…next.
*Wes Lee backstage with McKenzie…he feels lost after the events of the past week…Xyon Quinn interrupts with some words of advice that Lee doesn’t appreciate…so they’ll settle it in the ring later, where Lee always feel at home.
(4) Carmelo Hayes defeats Santos Escobar…while Santos is on the floor & the ref is distracted, he gets “kneecapped” with a crowbar by two men in black suits & fedoras (presumably emissaries of Tony D’Angelo), then rolled back in…Melo hits the Sicilian Slice for the win (13:56)…AFTER…Melo grabs a mic & tells Grimes that in 2 weeks at Spring Breakin’, Melo will become the 2x champ…Cameron Grimes out & accepts Melo’s challenge…Solo Sikoa sneaks into the ring, drops Trick Williams & delivers a pop-up Samoan Drop on Melo…Sikoa then gets in close to Grimes & declares, “I got next,” while looking at the title on Grimes’ shoulder…Grimes nods in agreement.
*Bron Breakker continues being lead on a wild goose chase backstage by Joe Gacy…this time in a room of mirrors where Gacy appears behind him in reflection but is somehow not there when Bron turns around…Bron smashes some mirrors & is back on the hunt.
*Malcolm Bivens & Roddy Strong in the Diamond Mine gym…Roddy is going to “start making examples” out of people who don’t agree with his vision for Diamond Mine…Bivens looks irritated as Roddy walks away.
(5) Natalya defeats Tatum Paxley…with a Sharpshooter for the submission win (04:53).
*Tony D’Angelo is asked as he arrives if he had anything to do with the attack on Santos Escobar…Tony feigns ignorance (his signature move) & takes note of Legado’s SUV parked nearby.
*Nathan Frazer vignette…he debuts in NXT 2.0 next week!
*Indi Hartwell interprets between Duke Hudson & Dexter Lumis as they struggle to communicate their gameplan for later tonight…Duke storms off in frustration.
(6) Xyon Quinn defeats Wes Lee…after Lee slips during a springboard maneuver & walks into a forearm shiver, Quinn follows with the Flying Forearm for the win (03:30).
*Natalya backstage with McKenzie…says her attack on Cora Jade last week was simply a preemptive strike…Nikkita Lyon interrupts, she heard Natty put the whole lockerroom on notice…Lyons put Natty on notice that after she’s done with Lash Legend, she’s coming for Natty.
*Von Wagner has been fined & suspended for throwing Ikemen Jiro from the ring, into the crowd last week…even though it did put a smile on the face of Sofia Cromwell.
(7) Roxanne Perez defeats Jacy Jayne…Wendy Choo appears on the ‘tron to tease Jacy while she tears up the Toxic Lounge…Perez uses the distraction to hit Code-ROK for the win (02:19).
*Legado del Fantasma arrive at their SUV to find someone has put a wheel boot on the front tire & left a dead fish on the windshield…you know…because…EYE-talians.
*Joe Gacy watches from a set of monitors as Bron continues searching for him & decides, “it’s time to end this.”
(8) Pretty Deadly defeat Dexter Lumis & Duke Hudson…to retain their NXT Tag Team Championship…as Duke Hudson is busy knocking Kit Wilson off the apron, he turns around into a Big Boot to the face from Elton Prince for the win (12:18)…AFTER…as Pretty Deadly make their way up the aisle the lights go out…
*Joe Gacy appears on the riser in the crowd as the lights come up…Bron Breakker makes his way out immediately…Gacy agrees to return Rick Steiner’s Hall of Fame ring if he is granted an NXT Championship match at Spring Breakin’…Breakker doesn’t hesitate to accept…Gacy says Breakker has one thing left to do, “take a leap of faith”…Gacy shoves Breakker off the back of the platform to the floor…once the crashpad is out of the way & the camera is put on the supine Breakker, we find that he is surrounded by a half dozen figures in black, hooded robes…they close in on Breakker as the show ends.
