  • Charly Caruso leads the panel of Booker T, Peter Rosenberg, and JBL
  • Nikki Cross, Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler are not medically cleared to compete.
  • Jax and Baszler’s defense will be addressed tomorrow on Raw.
  • Bayley will address her match tonight on the show
  • Entire Panel is cheering for Jey Uso, but they pick Roman Reigns.

Cesaro and Nakamura Interview

  • They’ll win because they’re the better team. Like Pippen and Michael Jordan or Simon and Garfunkel. Shinsuke sang “Hello Darkness, my old friend.”
  • Great interview.

MVP Interview

  • Talks about how the Hurt Business and a global expansion.
  • All Apollo Crews can do is hide tonight.
  • MVP says Retribution won’t be an issue.
  • Bobby Lashley doesn’t need luck.

R-Truth is Panning for Gold

Angel Garza and Andrade Interview

  • Garza says sometimes playing the field is more fun. Zelina blamed Angel for everything, and she instigated all the problems.
  • Andrade says I have his back if he has mine.

Sami Zayn Comes to the Interview Panel

  • Zayn wants to know why Charly referred to Hardy as the champion.

Cesaro and Nakamura defeat Lucha House Party – 10:45

  • Kalisto and Lince Dorado represent Lucha House Party.
  • Cesaro hit the Cesaro Swing on Kalisto and Nakamura hit Kalisto with a running knee upon release from the swing. This led to the pinfall.

Main Show

Sami Zayn defeats Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles – 26:40

  • Hardy did the swanton off the top of a ladder through Sami Zayn and a ladder (same spot from the 2017 WrestleMania).
  • Sami Zayn cuffed both Styles and Hardy to ladders allowing him to climb up and retrieve the title belts and become the Intercontinental Champion.

Post Match Interview

  • Sami says he didn’t regain. He’s still the IC Champion.

R-Truth Stumbles into the Referee’s Room

  • Drew Gulak rolled up Truth to become the new 24/7 champion.

Asuka defeats Zelina Vega – 07:05

  • Asuka got the submission victory using the Asuka Lock.

Post Match Interview with Asuka

  • Asuka said that Zelina was like a firecracker. Small but dangerous. She was not ready for Asuka.
  • Vega bowed to Asuka. When Asuka bowed, Zelina kicked her in the face. Asuka grabbed a microphone and gave Zelina a tongue lashing.

Bobby Lashley defeats Apollo Crews – 08:13

  • Apollo Crews is accompanied by Ricochet. MVP accompanies Bobby Lashley to the ring.
  • Lashley got the submission victory using the Hurt Lock (Full Nelson).

Street Profits defeat Andrade and Garza – 08:15

  • Angelo Dawkins hit a sky high on Andrade. While Andrade clearly got his shoulder up, the referee still counted to three. A bad finish.

The Draft Announced for October 9th and October 12th

Kayla Interviews Drew Gulak

  • Drew says he was doing lunges when he saw R-Truth with his guard down. He dedicated his victory to Akira Tozawa who was eaten by a shark.
  • R-Truth attacked Drew from behind and pinned Gulak to win the title back.

Bayley Comes to the Ring

  • Bayley says she’ll give anyone a title shot tonight, but nobody answered her in like 4 seconds.
  • Asuka’s music came on and now we have Asuka v. Bayley.

Asuka defeats Bayley – 03:35

  • Bayley hit Asuka with a steel chair to draw the disqualification.
  • Asuka does not win the championship because titles don’t change hands on a disqualification.

Post Match

  • Sasha Banks attacked Bayley with a chair. The Boss got a few shots in, but Bayley eventually got away.

Drew McIntyre defeats Randy Orton – 21:34

  • When Randy Orton went for a punt kick, we see that his foot was grabbed by someone on the outside. It was the Big Show. Big Show would then pull Orton out of the ring and Show choke-slammed Orton through the table.
  • As McIntyre and Orton wrestled to the backstage area, Christian also attacked Randy Orton.
  • When Randy stood tall on top of the ambulance, Shawn Michaels super kicked Orton and threw him off the top.
  • McIntyre hit the Claymore and a punt kick before pushing Orton in the Ambulance and closing the doors.

Roman Reigns defeats Jey Uso – 23:10

  • Jey Uso hit the superkick and a big splash. Roman kicked out, but connected with a low blow in the process.
  • Roman followed up with a spear, but he didn’t take the cover. Reigns told Jey to call him his chief, but Jey refused. That led to Roman hitting another spear and putting Jey’s face in the camera. Uso said not today.
  • Jimmy Uso came down with a towel. Roman offered to have Jimmy come in and acknowledge Roman as the head of the table. Jey pleaded with Jimmy not to throw in the towel.
  • Roman pulled Jey back to the center of the ring and just threw down punch after punch. Jimmy threw in the towel and dove in front of Jey. Jimmy told Roman he’s the tribal chief “if that’s what you need to hear.”
