*Tony Khan opens the show by announcing the vacating of the AEW World and Trios Championships…new Trios Champs will be crowned tonight when Death Triangle take on Best Friends…the World title will see a 6-man tournament play out over the next 3 weeks featuring Hangman Adam Page taking on Bryan Danielson tonight (with the winner facing Chris Jericho next week)…and Sammy Guevara taking on Darby Allin on Rampage (with the winner facing Jon Moxley next week)…next week’s winners move to the finals at Grand Slam on Sept. 21 in NYC to crown a new World Champion.

*MJF to the ring in a Josh Allen jersey…he’s playing to the fans & he’s super-babyface over…he’s working smarter not harder, so he’s not in the tournament…he’s got a “chip” that guarantees a shot any time he wants…Jon Moxley interrupts, says MJF is full of crap…MJF agrees, he thinks the Buffalo & their Bills all suck…in fact, he’s looking forward to the Bidding War of ’24 & reuniting with his buddy the Roller-Code’ster in the only real wrestling company…Mox is in no mood for his crap & tells MJF to leave…he does…Mox is pissed to be standing there without the World Title…but he knows he missed the “game-winning shot”…but he wants another shot…because it’s time to be a legend.

(1)  Death Triangle def. Best Friends…to become the NEW AEW Trios Champions…comedy break, as Danhausen & Alex Abrahates get into it at ringside…Fenix & Penta take out Cassidy & Trent at ringside with topes…Pac hits the Black Arrow on Chuck for the win (12:59).

*Dark Order backstage with Schiavone…Jose (Andrade’s assistant) interrupts to offer Prest10 Vance a contract again…again he’s turned away abruptly…Andrade & Rush approach next to hand Vance a shiny new crutch, leaving Dark Order (& me) very confused.

*Jamie Hayter is no longer on speaking terms with Britt Baker.

(2)  Toni Störm def. Penelope Ford…NON-TITLE…Störm with Sweet Cheeks Music in the corner…follows with the jumping Pendulum DDT for the win (05:56).

*Matt Menard & Angelo Parker backstage promo…not pleased with Action Bronson getting involved at All Out after the match with Hook…at Grand Slam, they promise Bronson’s “gonna get a piece.”

*The Acclaimed to the ring…Swerve Strickland interrupts to make jokes…Daddy Ass Billy Gunn informs Swerve that this is not his house…Bowens tells the crowd about their tag title rematch in NYC.

*Chris Jericho (& Sammy, Tay, Anna Jay) backstage with Schiavone…he’s going to beat Danielson & go on to be an 8x world champion…and Jericho knows Daniel Garcia will beat Wheeler Yuta tonight, though he has to do so on his own.

(3)  Wardlow def. Tony Nese…retains his TNT Championship…Nese jiggles Wardlow’s pecs…Wardlow responds with a headbutt, clothesline…and tonight’s Powerbomb Symphony is in 3 movements for the win (01:25)…AFTER…Mark Sterling nearly gets one, too…until Josh Woods pulls Sterling to safety.

*Darby Allin says he’s leaving Sting backstage for his tournament match with Sammy Guevara and challenges Sammy to prove he doesn’t need help by coming out alone as well.

(4)  World Championship Tournament: Bryan Danielson def. Hangman Adam Page…Danielson hits the Psycho Knee but Page is close enough to roll out to safety…so Danielson attempts a suicide dive that Hangman counters into an apron bomb & follows with a moonsault to the floor…Page rolls Danielson in & looks for the Buckshot Lariat, but Danielson side-steps, goes behind, & hits an O’Connor Roll with a back bridge for the Roll Up win (23:19)…as Chris Jericho watches his next opponent from a backstage monitor.

*Jungle Boy promo…he will be ready when Christian Cage is healed up from his surgery…and Luchasaurus turning on him was like letting go of a weight he’s been tied to for years…sometimes you can move on from your past, sometimes you have to destroy it.

*Stokely Hathaway on the stage (with Gunn Club, Ethan Page, W. Morrissey, Lee Moriarty)…they beat up a production assistant for telling them they are short on time.

*Caprice Coleman joins commentary & Bobby Cruise handles the ring announcing for…

(5)  Daniel Garcia def. Wheeler Yuta…to become the NEW ROH PURE Champion…Garcia applies the Sharpshooter for the 3^rd time & sits way back deep…Yuta reaches back for a chinlock to try to find a way out but has to tap, giving Garcia the submission win (16:42)…AFTER…Bryan Danielson in…Yuta shoves Danielson back so he can shake Garcia’s hand…Danielson then places the PURE title around Garcia’s waist…this brings out an appalled Chris Jericho…the show ends with an angry Jericho headed down the ramp.
