Cold Open Recaps Last Week’s Episode

Tournament matches, Ken Shamrock getting attacked by Elgin, Moose vs. Suicide,

Ace Austin defeats Rhino

Rhino had the advantage, and he was setting up for the gore when Ace Austin leaped out of the ring to keep away. Rhino followed him to the outside and suplexed him and slammed him into the barricade. Austin shoved Rhino face first into the post before hopping back in the ring and imploring the official to begin the count.

Back in the ring, Austin hit a sprinboard kick for a near fall. Rhino hit the mini gore in the corner, but Austin followed up with a hip attack. Ace Austin hit Rhino with a cane and then the fold for the pinfall victory.

Josh Matthews Talks to Moose

Josh asks Moose why he’s walking around with a prop. He tries to get Moose to admit that the TNA championship is not legitimate. Since Suicide nearly beat Moose last week, Moose agrees to give him a rematch.

Backstage Segment with Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan

Kiera Hogan forms an alliance with Tasha Steelz.

Josh and Madison Run Down the Card

Crazy Steve defeats Dave Crist

Crazy Steve knocks Dave to the outside and hits a high cross body to the floor. Joseph Ryan came out to the ringside area. Crazy Steve won with a flying DDT.

Post Match

Madman Fulton freaks out on the Crist. He quits oVe.

TJP and Bahh defeat XXXL

TJP leaped off the back of Fallah Bahh to hit Larry D with a back elbow in the corner. XXXL knocked TJP down as Impact went to commercial.

Back from commercial, Larry D hit a spine buster slam on TJP for a near fall. When TJP leaped for a tag, Acey Romero took out Fallah Bah.

Larry D went to the second rope, but Fallah Bah stoped him. He hit a samoan drop and then TJP followed up with at frog splash for the pinfall victory.

Moose defeats Suicide

Moose fell to the outside where Suicide pushed him into the post. Suicide went for a somersault senton off the apron, but Moose caught him and tossed him into the barricade.

Moose charged Suicide in the corner, but Suicide moved three times. Suicide hit a rolling fireman’s carry senton followed by a springboard moonsault for a near fall. Moose came right back. After a code breaker and five super kicks, Suicide went to the top rope.

Suicide went for a high cross body, but Moose rolled through and hooked the tights for the pinfall victory.

Pre Tape Interview with Michael Elgin

Elgin tells Sami Callihan that the time for talking is over.

Pre Tape Interview with Johnny Swinger and Chris Bey

Swinger thanks Bey for being a good brother.

Willie Mack defeats Johnny Swinger

Swinger jumped Willie Mack at the bell. Johnny Swinger hit a swinging neck breaker, but Willie Mack got his foot on the bottom rope. When Johnny attempted to hit Willie with the belt, Willie evaded and hit the standing moonsault for the pinfall victory.

Post Match

Johnny Swinger attacked Willie Mack after the match. Chris Bey came out to assist with the post-match beat down.

The North Segment

Cody Deaner appeared, and he wants a shot. His partner will be another member of the Deaner family. Ethan Page agrees to take the match. It will take place at the Deaner Compound. Apparently the referee that the North has been using is a Deaner.

Michael Elgin defeats Sami Callihan

Callihan is nursing an injury from his match with Ken Shamrock. Elgin let’s Sami know that he’s fully aware of the ankle injury.

Action spilled to the outside where Callihan tossed Elgin into the barricade and then the ring post. Elgin countered the back body drop and slammed Callihan’s ankle agains the apron.

Back in the ring, Elgin again kicked Sami in the ankle. Callihan and Elgin stood in the center of the ring exchanging clotheslines and pump kicks resulting in both men down on the mat.

Elgin continued to focus on Callihan’s leg, and he hit a sliding elbow to the back of the head for a near fall before cinching in a single leg crab.

With both men back on their feet, Elgin hit a spinning back fist and the Elgin bomb for the pinfall victory.

 

 


May 19th Episode of Impact Wrestling Preview

Tournament Action Continues

Impact Wrestling announced an eight person single elimination tournament to determine the number one contender for Tessa Blachard’s Impact World Championship. Last week, Trey and Hernandez advanced. Here are this week’s matches.

Mike Elgin (3-4) vs. Sami Callihan (1-2)

All three of Michael Elgin’s wins have been over Eddie Edwards on 1/7, 1/28, and 2/11. He also has four losses: 1 to Moose and three to Eddie Edwards on 1/12, 2/18, and 2/25.

Sami Callihan hasn’t had much of a 2020 either defeating Tommy Dreamer, but losing his high profile matches against Tessa Blanchard and Ken Shamrock.

Rhino (3-3) vs. Ace Austin (4-3)

The match was originally scheduled to be Rhino vs. Ken Shamrock, but Michael Elgin took out Shamrock ruing last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling.

Rhino comes into the match with a .500 record defeating Dave Crist and Madman Fulton on 3/10 and 3/31. His three losses came to Taurus in a triple threat match, Moose on 1/12 and 2/22.

Ace Austin’s record is sightly better with four wins including Tommy Dreamer, Fatal Four Way on 1/14, and Trey on 1/12 and 4/14 He has losses to Tessa Blanchard and Willie Mack on 4/21 and 5/5.

Also on Impact

Moose (8-2) gives Suicide (1-2) another Shot

Whether Moose is defending the “TNA Championship” is unknown, but he does have a pile of victories over Suicide last week, Kid Kash, Chase Stevens, Petey Williams, Rhino on 1/12 and 2/22, Taurus, and Hernandez and Elgin in a triple threat match. He lost two matches in 2020 to Taurus and Ace Austin.

Suicide has just one victory over Johnny Swinger. The two losses were against Chris Bey and Moose last week.

Willie Mack (7-0) defends the X-Division Title Against Johnny Swinger (1-4)

Willie Mack remains undefeated in 2020 singles competition winning the X-Division Scramble, and defeating Rohit RajuAce Austin, Reno Scum, Jay Bradley, Johnny Swinger, and Ace Austin and Chris Bey in a Triple Threat Match.

The Swing has just one singles win in 2020 over Mike Jackson. He has lost four times to Willie Mack, Suicide, and Joey Ryan on 1/14 and 2/22.

XXXL (2-2) vs. TJP and Fallah Bahh (2-2)

In a rare occurrence, both teams come into tonight’s Impact Wrestling with the exact same record (2-2). XXXL has wins over Jake Crist and Madman Fulton and Dave Crist and Madman Fulton. They lost to TJP and Fallah Bahh in a four way match and to the Rascalz.

TJP and Fallah Bahh have a win in a four-way match, and they defeated the Tag Team Champions The North. Their losses came to the North and the Rascalz in a triple threat match.
