Mr. Brodie Lee Promo

He starts by telling the babyface wrestlers to be quiet. Brodie Lee says he is relatable because he is not a god. Brodie says he operates at an Elite level. They are the lions of AEW. He makes Preston Vance a high knight of the Dark Order and tells him to go hurt Jon Moxley.

Jon Moxley defeats Preston Vance

Moxley hits Vance with a running high knee at the bell. When Aubrey Edwards had to insert herself, Moxley got distracted and Preston Vance took over. 10 knocked Moxley out of the ring, sent him into the barricade, and slammed him on the ring apron. Back in the ring, 10 hit a ripcord cutter and stayed on Moxley.

Moxley made a short comeback, but Vance used a spine buster to swing things back. Preston Vance put Moxley in a fireman’s carry, but Mox slipped out and hit the paradigm shift. Jon didn’t go for the cover. Instead he hit a Gotch-style piledriver and then another paradigm shift for the pinfall victory

Post Match

Jon Moxley grabbed a microphone and a couple of chairs. Moxley wrapped 10’s arm in a steel chair. Moxley says he will not chase Brodie Lee around. He will give him 10 seconds to return the belt. If he doesn’t bring the belt, Moxley says he’ll break 10’s arm. Brodie came on the screen and said that he’s making a sacrifice. Moxley hit a con-chair-to on the arm of Vance and said, “OK, I’ll see you Saturday.”

MJF defeats Marko Stunt

MJF wrestled like a giant, which he is in comparison to Marko Stunt. Friedman made Marko Stunt pick his nose and eat it. . . yuck.

Marko made a comeback with a top rope tope con hilo into a hurricanrana.  On the outside, Marko evaded MJF’s attack and sent him into the ring steps. MJF won with a shoulder breaker and the Salt of the Earth Fujiwara Arm Bar.

Post Match

He says Marko lasted longer than anyone thought he would. He then put the diamond ring on and punched Marko with it. That brought out Jurassic Express to make the save.

Arn Anderson and Jake Roberts

Jake says it is surreal sitting across from Arn. Cody can’t avoid Lance Archer anymore. Archer will rip his heart out.

Arn says he can see the evil permeate off of Jake. Anderson brings up Mike Tyson.

Jake says he promised Lance Archer could have the first shot on Mike Tyson.

Things got ugly and Arn offered to spine buster Jake. After that threat, Jake flipped the table. Officials broke it up.

Darby Allin Video Package

He’s playing poker with guys wearing masks of his opponents. He climbs to the top of a flaming ladder.

He speaks to Orange Cassidy and says Rey Fenix will send him to his maker.

Rey Fenix defeats Orange Cassidy

Orange begins the match without his glasses. Cassidy had the advantage for a bunch of the match, but Fenix hit a double stomp to take over. Fenix hit a springboard legdrop for a near fall. Dynamite went to commercial.

Back from commercial, Fenix had the advantage, but Cassidy hit a number of palm strikes and a suicide dive. Back in the ring he, hit a high cross body and a tilt-a-whirl DDT for the near fall. Cassidy followed up with a top rope diving DDT for another near fall.

Fenix used a top rope sunset bomb fro a near fall of his own. Cassidy countered the muscle buster into an inside cradle for a two count.

Kip Sabian came to the ring side area with a ladder. He climbed to the top of the ladder and took a ringside seat. This distracted the referee, so Fenix hit a low blow and a cutter for the pinfall victory.

Post Match

Kazarian and Scorpio came out and tipped the ladder over. This led to a rumble. Fenix hit springboard dive and landed right on his back. Colt Cabana did a moonsault and the Best Friends launched Orange Cassidy into the pile.

Nyla Rose and Britt Baker defeat Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida

Things broke down before the bell rang. Once the bell finally rang, things settled down with Nyla Rose and Kris Statlander as legal competitors. Rose hit a big pounce to get the advantage over Kris Statlander. Rose maintained the advantage on Statlander as Dynamite went to commercial.

Back from the break, Shida got in the match and took the advantage. She hit a running knee lift on Britt Baker and then a vertical suplex for a near fall. Nyla Rose inadvertently splashed Baker in the corner. Statlander and Shida picked up rose and tossed her on top of Baker.

Shida hit the running knee strike on Nyla Rose, but only got a two count. At some point, Britt Baker got hurt.

Nyla Rose hit the beast bomb for the pinfall victory on Shida.

Post Match

Nyla Rose put Shida on a table and climbed the ropes. Statlander made a save and Shida hit a super plex on Nyla Rose through the table.

Backstage Interview with Jon Moxley

Moxley says it only gets worse from here. Jon Moxley says he’ll DDT him with enough force to knock out a rhino.

Shawn Spears News

He announces that Dustin Rhodes has retired, which he says is exactly what Cody wanted. But then he challenged Dustin Rhodes. That concluded Shawn Spears News.

Matt Hardy defeats Sammy Guevara

Hardy tossed Sammy to the floor where he slammed Guevara’s face into the ring steps several times. Hardy followed up by squishing Sammy’s face into the post and then his shoulder too. After whipping Sammy into the barricade, Hardy tossed him back in the ring. Matt went for the twist of fate, but Guevara put his hands down to avoid it.

Back from a commercial break, Hardy hit the side effect. Matt Hardy hit the twist of fate, but Sammy rolled out of the ring. Back in the ring, Sammy hit a high knee and a couple of low super kicks for a near fall. Sammy missed the shooting star press and Hardy hit the twist of fate, but Sammy kicked out.

Hardy pulled off Sammy’s shoe and bit him in the foot. After a rising knee strike, Sammy hit a springboard cutter for a near fall. Sammy then went to the top rope where he went for a shooting star press. Hardy put his knees up and hit another twist of fate for the pinfall victory.

Post Match

Matt Hardy brought a chair into the ring. The Inner Circle came on the big screen. They apparently abducted Kenny Omega and were ready to beat him down with a baseball bat. The Young Bucks made the save and then Hangman Page arrived too.

 


May 20th Episode of AEW Dynamite Preview

Tonight’s Dynamite is the Double or Nothing Go Home show. AEW announced five matches plus the face to face interview between Arn Anderson and Jake the Snake Roberts. See Below for the full preview.

Sammy Guevara (6-5) vs. Matt Hardy (0-1)

This match continues the Elite vs. Inner Circle storyline that culminates with this weekend’s Stadium Stampede match.

Sammy Guevara’s six wins of 2020 include victories over Alan Angels, Shawn Dean, Suge DMatt SellsDustin Rhodes, and Christopher Daniels. His five losses came at the hands of Dustin Rhodes, Jon Moxley, Darby Allin on 2/29 and 4/22, and Kenny Omega.

Matt Hardy hasn’t had a singles match in AEW, but his record does carry a 2020 lost from WWE against Erick Rowan.

Orange Cassidy (2-1) vs. Rey Fenix (2-1)

This match previews the Double or Nothing Casino Ladder Match.

Orange Cassidy and Rey Fenix enter tonight’s match with the same record. Cassidy’s two victories came over Jason Cade and Jimmy Havoc. He lost to Pac at AEW Revolution.

Rey Fenix has recent victories over Alan Angels and Shawn Dean and a loss to Joey Janela.

Jon Moxley (13-0) vs. Preston Vance aka 10 (2-1)

This match previews Jon Moxley’s World Title defense against Mr. Brodie Lee at this weekend’s Double or Nothing Pay Per View.

Jon Moxley’s 2020 undefeated streak includes victories over Frankie Kazarian, Jake Hager, Chris Jericho, Lance Archer, Juice Robinson, Trent, Sammy Guevara, Pac, Ortiz, Minoru Suzuki, Santana,  Jeff Cobb, and Faboo Andre.

Preston Vance has a small streak of his own defeating Ryan Pyles and Jon Cruz in his last two matches. Previous to those victories, Vance lost to Darby Allin.

Nyla Rose and Britt Baker (0-0) vs. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander (1-0)

This match previews both of the Double or Nothing Women’s division matches. At Double or Nothing, Nyla Rose defends the championship against Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker faces Kris Statlander.

Nyla Rose and Britt Baker have not previously formed a team in 2020. This is their first outing.

Shida and Statlander have slightly more experience as a team because they defeated Brandi Rhodes and Mel earlier this year.

MJF (4-2) vs. Marko Stunt (1-2)

This match previews the MJF vs. Jungle Boy match at Double or Nothing. MJF has called it his “warm-up match.”

MJF’s four victories have been over Cody, Jungle Boy, Joey Janela, and Lee Johnson. He has no losses in AEW, but he has a pair of losses in MLW to Mance Warner and Marshall Von Erich.

Marko Stunt got his first singles victory of 2020 last night on AEW Dark against Jason Cade. His two losses have been to Lance Archer and Brodie Lee.

Arn Anderson and Jake the Snake Roberts – Interview

This face to face interview previews the TNT Championship Tournament finals between Cody and Lance Archer occurring this weekend.
