Cody and Tony Schiavone as the Announce Team
Cody says it is the last time they’ll be announcing together.
Preston Vance defeats Ryan Pyles
This match consisted of a lot of strikes. Ryan Pyles got a little offense in, and that caused Mr. Brodie to hit the ring post with a chair. Number 10 used a spine buster to secure the pinfall victory.
Sammy Guevara defeats Shawn Dean
Sammy was on the phone when the bell rang, so Shawn Dean tried to roll Guevara up. Guevara got the advantage back right away. With Dean in the fireman’s carry position, Sammy did three deep squats.
Shawn Dean got some offense in with a vertical suplex and a forward roll into a knee across the chest of Sammy Guevara. A few moments later, Dean hit a float over DDT.
When Shawn Dean went for a running knee strike, Sammy Guevara evaded and hit one of his own. Guevara used the burning GTS to pick up the pinfall victory.
Kip Sabian defeats Colt Cabana
Sabian and Cabana traded slaps in the early moments of the match. The story of the match is that Colt is always one step ahead of Kip Sabian. He evaded a dropkick and a monkey flip. Cabana also used all his comedy spots to get inside Sabian’s head.
Kip got the advantage back after a distraction from Penelope Ford. Cabana moved out of the way when Kp attempted to hit a sunset flip. Colt Cabana had the match pretty much won, but Penelope Ford hopped in the ring and distracted the referee. Sabian used a low blow and a roll up for the win.

May 5th Episode of AEW Dark Preview
Shawn Dean (0-2) vs. Sammy Guevara (4-5)
Shawn Dean looks for his first win against Sammy Guevara. His previous matches resulted in losses to Shawn Spears and Jimmy Havoc. Sammy Guevara also needs to add a win to his record having dropped matches to Dustin Rhodes, Jon Moxley, Darby Allin on 2/29 and 4/22, and Kenny Omega. His four wins for the year came against Suge D, Matt Sells, Dustin Rhodes, and Christopher Daniels.
Ryan Pyles (0-1) vs. Preston Vance (AKA 10) (0-1)
Pyles and Vance both want to secure a victory in this match. Vance previously lost to Darby Allin, but he has a new association with the Dark Order. Pyles previously lost to Wardlow, and he has a tough night ahead of him with Brodie Lee lurking at ringside.
Kip Sabian (6-4) vs. Colt Cabana (2-2)
Between NWA, New Japan, and AEW, Colt Cabana has wrestled a bunch this year. Despite wrestling in all those promotions, he only has four singles matches with a .500 record. He has two wins over Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler. He lost to Ken Anderson and Lance Archer earlier this year. Kip Sabian has wins over Chuck Taylor, Tony Donati, Suge D, Joey Janella, Michael Nakazawa, and QT Marshall. He also has a somewhat smaller pile of losses to Dustin Rhodes, Cody, Darby Allin, Joey Janella.
